Version - How can I verify that I have the Version 3 Beta installed. In checking both Programs and Features in Windows Vista for the IE7 package and Add-ons in Firefox (still using the 2 series as many add-ons do not work in the Beta 3) - I use both frequently - it does not show the version installed. While I installed both packages, it seems to be impossible to verify the version operating.
Search - It would be nice to have a search engine in Support to search on a keyword - such as "version" - and have links in the results to helpful solutions or information.
I like the features so far, but also wonder about the WOT rating in the URL area of the menu bar.
Re: Version and Support FAQ Seach Ability
There are a couple of ways you can check the version number of the Internet Explorer add-on. One way is from Control Panel -> Programs and Features (Add or Remove Programs in XP), another is to look at the properties of the WOT.dll file (right click the file -> Properties). The v3 beta's version number is 20080415 or 8.4.15.0 depending on where you look.
However, since all older versions of the add-on look completely different, the absolutely easiest way is to open the rating window and see if it looks like the picture in the sneak preview post. If it does, you are using the beta version.
