The most unsafe site you've ever found?

They take orders for which they don't have stock. They make substitutions AND stoop to "lifting" items from boxes prior to shipment then swearing FedEx or UPS failed to deliver or your lion ate it!
The manager of the store is a screaming fast talker who doesn't care what falls out the corners of her mouth.
Their California BBB record would cover Route 66! Twice! Similar complaints are listed over and over and over.
Definitely find another store if you're thinking about changing your hair color for a couple nights while you're soothing yourself in Tahiti!

Sat 17 May 2008 02:21:20 AM UTC — SpoLadyThis topic reminded me of that. I was looking for a good, and inexpensive web page editor (and now I mostly use wordpad anyway -- good thing I keep my pages simple!).
I found trellian, WOT warned me but I went ahead anyway. I won't do that again! (and I just added my 'rating' since I think I forgot to do that before...) At any rate, it installed a toolbar in my browser without permission and basically hijacked my PC. I un-installed it as fast as I could.

It has a web browser, email client, html editor, and IRC chat built into one small package. And it comes from Mozilla, so you know it's safe.

SpoLady, thanks for your story, it is exactly the type of experience that we all should share by others to spread the word of dangerous sites.
