The most unsafe site you've ever found?

No links or anything, but can you think of the worst site on the internet which even looking at the url makes you feel as if your computer is getting infested with trojans? I think the worst one I know would probably be that one freedownloadscenter

goggle

Well, a year ago it would have been goggle. Note that it is "google" misspelled

http://www.InternationalWig.com

InternationalWig.com has the worst BBB record, case of sticky fingers and other ugly stuff, I found out after ordering.

They take orders for which they don't have stock. They make substitutions AND stoop to "lifting" items from boxes prior to shipment then swearing FedEx or UPS failed to deliver or your lion ate it!

The manager of the store is a screaming fast talker who doesn't care what falls out the corners of her mouth.

Their California BBB record would cover Route 66! Twice! Similar complaints are listed over and over and over.

Definitely find another store if you're thinking about changing your hair color for a couple nights while you're soothing yourself in Tahiti!

Worst?

The worst site is still in the future, unfortunately...

my worst site is Trellian.com

This topic reminded me of that. I was looking for a good, and inexpensive web page editor (and now I mostly use wordpad anyway -- good thing I keep my pages simple!).

I found trellian, WOT warned me but I went ahead anyway. I won't do that again! (and I just added my 'rating' since I think I forgot to do that before...) At any rate, it installed a toolbar in my browser without permission and basically hijacked my PC. I un-installed it as fast as I could.

web editor

If you want a clean, simple, and Free HTML editor, try this: SeaMonkey by Mozilla. It's often referred to as Mozilla Suite. It has a web browser, email client, html editor, and IRC chat built into one small package. And it comes from Mozilla, so you know it's safe.

Beware of spyware!

Hi, we did recently a fairly extensive study at WOT on the malicious sites and one thing I noticed is that if you pick a free anti-spyware software you are likely to get infected by spyware!

SpoLady, thanks for your story, it is exactly the type of experience that we all should share by others to spread the word of dangerous sites.

Here you have some good example of sites that I do not recommend to anyone. The links are to WOT scorecard so there is no risk if you want to check them out:
