Re: Reinstall
Do you have third-party cookies enabled in Firefox? It seems this bug still requires them to be enabled for synchronizing to work. We'll see if there's a way to work around this in the next update.

Reinstall
I did not have 3pc enabled, so I did. Then shutdown FF3 and restarted. It didn't seem to make an difference. I also uninstalled wot, cleared cookies, then reinstalled. Still no joy, but somehow, even with the cookies gone, when I went to register it remembered my ID and password. It didn't log me on automatically but the fields were filled in. Obviously there is more going on with WOT and FF, maybe profiles, than I understand. I don't think that is very good, for years we have all complained about companies such as Norton that once you put their stuff in your machine it's nearly impossible to get rid of it all.
I turned 3pc back off. I suppose I'll just need to wait until the next update or so and see what happens. Wot is great and I would like to grow my activity but it is less important to me personally to have a total than it is to have WOT that works, which it does, and protection against 3pc's.
Thanks

Re: Reinstall
You shouldn't clear your cookies after restarting the browser, because it destroys the add-on's authentication cookies as well and pretty much guarantees synchronization won't work. Reinstalling the add-on probably makes no difference either.
When you click the synchronize button on our website, it sets a cookie that instructs the add-on to reload its settings. There's a bug in Firefox 3 that prevents the add-on from seeing this cookie at all if the "Enable third-party cookies" option has been disabled. That's why you'll need to have them enabled for now.
Here's the procedure:
1. Turn on the "Enable third-party cookies" option.
2. Restart your browser. Do not clear your cookies, you'll need them very soon.
3. Open our website and log in. (It's Firefox that remembers your user name and password.)
4. Click the Synchronize link on My page and then the Synchronize button.
5. Your profile should now be synchronized unless cookies are still being blocked somehow. Make sure mywot.com isn't on Firefox's cookie exception list and go back to step 2.
6. You can turn off the "Enable third-party cookies" option now and delete any cookies you may have collected during this time if you prefer.
If this didn't help, please send us a problem report and we'll take a look at where things go wrong.

Re: Reinstall
first time when i instaled Wot, everything worked perfectly but then i have re-installed my windows instalation (clean instalation). Then i have installed firefox and Wot addon for it...but after that i couldnt synchronize my profile, ratings, scores with my wot in firefox anymore (it saying i am using different browser than last time)..all i can see that my rating is zero points and "register" under my wot icon in firefox is seen...but i am already registered, loged in, tried to sync several times and follow instruction writen by Sami, but still it doesnt work, i cant make my wot synced with my browser at all...i did tried to delete cookies, to turn off antivirus software, firewall...but nothing problem is the same.
I have new version of firefox 3.5 and cookies are enabled.

Reinstall
Every year or so I rebuild my XPH system just to clean things up. I did that recently and since then, WOT is building a new activity list instead of the one I get when I login to mywot. To complicate things, after the rebuild but before noticing what WOT was doing I installed WOT on another computer I have using the same signon. Both systems are FF3. I did get a message about using a different browser on my rebuilt wot today and chose to syncronize but that does not seemed to have helped. Any thoughts?
Thank You.
