You might send the file to
You might send the file to an antivirus analyzing organization, like AVERT for McAfee . . . I'm sure Symantec and Trend Micro and all the rest have something similar.
If they all find keylogger malware in the file, then I would be more comfortable with that consensus then I would with user comments, which didn't seem to have a consensus anyway. It could have been false positives, but a consensus on the part of these antivirus organizations would make false positives more unlikely.
I wouldn't want to rate based on user comments alone unless they were the majority.
Or am I misreading the comments??

I dont have it
I don't have the file myself because I never installed it on my computer. I just find it unlikely that both a privacy keyboard and ZA Antivirus would be wrong. But I understand if you don't want to rate it based on that evidence.

Re: rocketdock.com
I'm not convinced. Just because the program uses a global hook doesn't mean it's a keylogger. It might actually have a perfectly legitimate reason for using one.

Indeed. Many programs use
Indeed. Many programs use hooks. Some security programs alert about these, at that point it is up to the user to further investigate the issue. And possibly involve the technical support of chosen security software manufacturer to clarify the issue.
It also possible that the user is unable to understand the (highly technical) output of his/her chosen security software. In such a case, that specific user should question his need to use such software :) And possibly seek alternatives, that do not produce such alerts.
After all, what is the point of using security software, if one does not fully understand its features and potential?

A program monitoring key strokes is not necessarily a keylogger
Hi, and sorry for getting in this thread a bit late as I just discovered it... As for the above detections, It only means that some keys are monitored as in the case of Hot Key combination to activate specific functions in a program as a pre set feature. In this example some over zealous security tools may detect the behavior as key logging... Which in fact it is doing but for legitimate reasons.
As for the issue of Rocketdock.com (PunkSoftware) I have never had any of my tools trigger a key logger alarm related to rocket dock. I could not in good conscience label this tool as malware as I install it on many computers as a way to dramatically enhance the user environment. It is a great free tool and until I can figure out anything actually wrong with it, I can't support any claim against it.
If anyone is in fear of keyloggers being present, you can always use Keys scrambler together with threat fire after doing a scan with a good memory scanner. Also someone suggested submitting the file to an online scan site. I strongly agree users should never trust their AV 100%. Sites such as www.virustotal.com offer a far more reliable scan as it uses 35 or so AV's with their latest database to compare against... Very powerful indeed.
Here are some tools that should most certainly help:
ThreatExpert memory scanner (will not clean only detect live infection)
http://www.threatexpert.com/memoryscanner.aspxThreatfire (A powerfull Free Anti malware)
http://www.threatfire.com/Keyscrambler An excellent anti keylogger (free I must add)

Help me rate rocketdock.com red
I have been looking at many dock products lately, rocketdock was among them. I did extensive research to find out if it was safe. I found out that Rocketdock secretly installs a keylogger on your machine. Please help my in making rocketdock.com RED. I strongly encourage you to uninstall rocketdock until it can be proven safe if you are using it.
Here is where I found my evidence:

If you can prove rocketdock is safe and explain logically how what those people say is wrong please please post.
Thanks!
