    red, yellow and green icons

I just downloaded WOT and do not see the icons after my search results are entered. Do I need to do something else to get these to show up?

Could you tell us some more?
Like if it's a pc, mac or what?
    Windows or Linux?
    Explorer, FireFox, Opera, Safari or..?

      green, yellow and red icons

I watched the video on WOT. It shows that the icons will show up after you type something into Google and you get the search results. The icons in the video show up at the end of each search result. My OS is Vista, IE7

I'm assuming you don't see the toolbar either. Do you have the option "Enable third-party browser extensions" enabled in Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced under Browsing?

          toolbar icon

I have the toolbar and can see the ratings there. On the video on WOT, after they type" screensavers "into Google and the search results come up, there are different colored icons at the end of each search result. Maybe I'm not explaining this the right way. If you have the time, would you look at the video and then you could see what I'm talking about. I maybe interpreting this video the wrong way. Thanks for your help.

            Re: toolbar icon

This could be caused by several things. Here's a few that come to mind:

            1. The add-on failed to load its search rules. Open Settings -> Searching from the rating window. Do you see Google listed and enabled there?

            2. You're using Google search, but from another website. Do you see rating symbols if you enter your search on google.com? How about other search engines; are there ratings on live.com, for example?

            3. Your add-on just isn't working for whatever reason. Send a problem report and we'll find out why.

    ?

Don't any ratings show up, or aren't your own ratings counted? In the second case, you will have to wait a few hours becasue the ratings are updated once a day. In the first case, creating a new profile might help. Also, check your settings about the icons after search engine results.

    There's not a misunderstanding

Sami, the co-founder of WOT,made that video. We all know what you are talking about. Circles, giving the safety of a website varying from dark green, light green, yellow, a slightly lighter red, and a slightly darker red, are shown by each result. It's like a stoplight. Green for go, yellow for slow down, red for stop.
    They look like this: http://codingexperiments.com/examples/wp-uploads/2...

Normally, while in a website, you should also see a circle near the address, which you said you do have. See here for a picture: http://mywot.googlegroups.com/web/wotsettingscircl... ignore the fact that settings is circled, it was originally for another example

I think I know the problem

If the WOT circle is there near the address bar, click it, and near the upper right corner of the WOT window, click settings. Next, click the searching tab.

Make sure there's NOT, i repeat NOT a checkmark next to show only negative ratings, and make sure there IS a checkmark next to google under Select when Ratings are shown. If not, make the necessary changes.

If that still doesn't work then like Sami said, submit an error report.

      colored icons

Thanks for the help. They are showing up now accept in one place. There is a search bar on my homepage(AT&T). This is where my grandson does his searching from. The icons don't show up when he searches from there. The search bar say Web search powered by Google. Google is my default search engine I don't know a lot about computers as you can probably tell. Is there any simple solution to this? If not, I will have to get him use to using the Google bar at the top right corner of the page.

      Rating donuts

I had the same problem until I read this advice. Thanks! I have Firefox 3.0.5 running under XP-MCE. However, in Firefox I had to first go to Tools | Options | Content | Colors and temporarily check "Allow websites to use their own colors.." otherwise I could not see the check-boxes or the checks in the checkboxes. My normal custom colors are black text on a very light blue background and the WOT settings screen does not work well at all with those colors.

Well, I spoke too soon, sort of. When I went back to my color scheme, the rating donuts/icons disappeared! :( I am not real happy about that, as I really don't usually like most sites color choices, especially on this Acer laptop's LCD. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything...

    coloured icons

If you have 2 toolbars dowload 1 for each.Put other account for wot in your grandsons name. Then he can be a member and ask questions here if he wants. Then you will have wot on both toolbars.

    Check here

Currently, WOT doesn't support that seach engine by default. It supports all the major ones, including google, yahoo, windows live search, dogpile, and more. You can, however, by the use of some code configure your add-on to work with that search.
Sami made a blog post a while ago about this same issue.
Although I'm not sure how current this is, since it was developed in version one, and I have never personally used it, it should work just fine. If not, or you have questions, please post again.
