RE: Counterfeiters your time is up !
I read this too and I wasn't sure if I was happy or concerned. The way the US is using the ICE system, and potentially in future, SOPA makes me kind of leery. Warrentless site takedowns whenever they want? No-one is going to miss the counterfeit/replica sites but it still sets a bad precedent in my mind. Where does it stop?

Where does it stop?It is not as bad as portrayed by the media, but I share your concern and it should be monitored
In the other hand Channel has done an excellent job at stopping these criminals on their own, is high time that consumers get the protection they deserve, and the law to enforce it
The only ones that should worry, are the ones involved in this crime!
But as I said before, monitored and withing the law of common sense and not the big brother mentality

RE: Counterfeiters your time is up !
There needs to be a middle ground between being able to shutdown sites without judicial oversight and complete disregard for intellectual property laws. My friends from China think the idea of paying for movies or music is quaint -- no one they know pays. How can a country's artists make a living without sponsorship (and control) by the government? Yet those same freeloading downloaders will tell you they are in favor of artistic freedom.

RE: Counterfeiters your time is up !
How can a country's artists make a livingWell, concerts, appearances, commercials, product endorsements..... There are many other ways. But of course in general I agree with you.
Today, 60 days later, there are sill plenty of counterfeit sites listed on google. However, since about 2 weeks I see fewer new shopping sites on google. Usually google was a good source for new counterfeiters and my google script (using the 100 results tag) could fetch a few 100 withing a few Minutes. Not sure yet if that's a trend or if it's related to Chinese New Year. New domains with my keywords in it are also down from usually 300 a day to about 100 a day.
Now it's almost a waste of time to scrape google and most catches I get are from Splogs, or spammed sites.
Hence comment SPAM becomes a good and very efficient source of collection, i.e. this page has over 1200 unique domains, 90% are counterfeit sites : aps.sn/spip.php/spip.php?article68611
If you know other goods ones drop me message!

At the time when I wrote this I was naive to believe that finality a solution was found to resolve the problems that plagued us , little did I know that behind doors a very nasty law was taking place , so SOPA and PIPA confronted us , and everyone came together and we defeated them
That was a great feeling , but Google stirred things up and the blue bird started censoring , so we are back to square one ! -

.......but Google stirred things up and the blue bird started censoring , so we are back to square one !Yep, google, your plans might just kill the internet.

Counterfeiters your time is up !
A US Judge has ordered Google, Yahoo, Twitter and Facebook, among others, to delist domain names linked to websites selling counterfeit goods.
I was pleasantly surprised to read this piece in today's BBC news !
During the time in which I have rated many sites selling counterfeit goods, I noticed the aggressive and effective way in which Channel, has defended it's trademark
Never understood the nonchalant attitude from other companies , loosing billions of dollars to criminals in plain sight of engine search page or domains severs that knew , what was going on , and decided not to do anything about it
Now there is a good possibility that the status quo, will be challenged
For those who have spent hours finding and rating red these sites , I recommend this article
hxxttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-15959882
For I strongly believe that our ratings , directly or indirectly have made a difference in bringing to the attention of some companies , the need to stop once and for all , the insanity of allowing these companies from ripping off in plain sight millions of customers
Best wishes
