    Vista - could not get WOT to block with grey-dark screen

    Hi Folks,

    I use XP, this was a friends Vista puter. WOT was active, the red and yellow and green in the bar and the warning on the top of the screen when red or orange. I checked the settings, making them aggressive (same as my home puter, which blocks fine). I simply could not get the block-screen. Maybe a pop-up blocker in his Trend Micro anti-virus and Webroot combo perhaps ? I looked for one and didn't see anything.

    Any ideas where the screen-block is hiding ?

    Hmmm

    Settings->Warnings
    On the right side at the bottom there is a check mark box "Show only notification of warnings"
    If it is checked, uncheck it.

    When checked, this disables the shaded screen and only allows for a drop-down yellow warning bar.
    (my personal preference when digging into badware sites.)

    this is all I can think of.

    maybe the sites I chose weren't red enuf

    Hi Folks,

    Maybe I was only looking at orange sites when I had casual blocking, and did not find a bad enuf site when I went to the next level . I'll check again later.
