First and foremost ......
... the most obvious thing to try first, would be to completely uninstall the program, then re-install it.
In this case, the problem appears to be caused by SnoopFree (see the "TECH INFO"), so you may want to try removing that first, and see if the problem goes away - if it does, contact the SnoopFree developers and let them know it's conflicting with SAS.

MysteryFCM,
Thank you for your response, I did uninstall & re-install SAS , didn't think to uninstall snoopFree though, :) and I will contact them if problem persists ...
Is it doing any real damage to my PC ?

....
Conflicting security programs do damage to the protection of your computers security, and BSODS shouldn't happen (these can eventually cause serious damage to the system, depending of course, on the cause).

Conflicting Security:
MysteryFCM,
Not sure what has happened as these two programs have been working fine together for some time around 6 months I think....
I uninstalled SnoopFree and SUPERAnt keeps crashing.....
and have sent SUPERAnt some details of it too.Could you tell me what "BSODS" means?
Thank you

BSOD = Blue Screen of Death
Keep SnoopFree uninstalled > reboot the computer > uninstall SAS > reboot the computer > reinstall SAS and reboot the computer.

Just an idea
You could always install Malware Bytes Anti-Malware. It is similar in a way to SuperANTIspyware. But in my opinion it is better.

If you might have viruses
If you might have viruses you could always install Avast! Anti-Virus and check for viruses to see if your computer has any, which 'might' be causing the BSOD.

Hey catweezl !!
Please read All of my post before attempting any work!!!
You know , sometimes it's not the fault of software but, the hardware that's failing .
How old is this PC ?. Another thing , the ram (memory) is spread very thin. You could use another stick of ram. (1Gig). You can check which memory to use by downloading and running the "Crucial Scan" . This will tell you how much more your PC can handle , plus which memory is compatible :
http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/index.aspx .Have you cleaned out the Innards of that box lately. Take the dust bunnies out BUT, not with a Vacuum. You can use the vacuum on the Bottom of the box but, NOT the motherboard. Use a can of Compressed Air and in Small Bursts , clean out the fans
and the heat sink for both the CPU and the GPU.In the mean time , download and install this little app. "WhoCrashed" by Resplendence. This page will explain what it does and report :
http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed .
And , this page is for download.
http://www.resplendence.com/downloads . Use the Free home Edition. Do not
insert your e-mail address . It is not required to download.Run the app (a few seconds) . It will tell you which app. or driver is at fault IF it's a driver.
Also, run a CHKDSK in XP. This will tell you if there is a problem with the hard drive and will attempt to repair any bad sectors of the hard disk. Here's how to do this .
Very simple and you only need about one hour.:Step One: Open "My Computer", RIGHT click on the C drive icon, choose "Properties".
Step Two: When that loads, click on the "Tools" tab, then click on the "Check Now" button in the "Error Checking" section.
Step Three: When that little window loads, place a CHECK in BOTH boxes, then click on "Start Now".
Step Four: A message will pop up saying that Error Checking will run after you restart the computer, so......Restart the computer. Error Checking will run automatically after the restart and it locks you out from doing anything until it's finished. It takes a little time to perform the task but after it's finished, it will restart into Windows automatically.
It should report whether or not it found any errors on the disk and if it could repair them.
Don't forget to close Any opened windows or apps. before restarting the PC otherwise , chkdsk will display an error saying that "programs are in use by other processes and cannot continue"
Once finished, report your findings in this thread.

Reporting Back
Crucial - Reported that I could up to 2gb in total for memory - so thats good news in itself.....
System
Toshiba M70 laptop about 4 years oldRe: Crash Report -
Analysis
Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump
Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.
No crash dumps have been found on your computer
Conclusion
Crash dumps are enabled and no crash dumps have been found on your computer. In case your computer does experience sudden reboots it is likely these are caused by malfunctioning hardware or power failure. Then it's suggested you contact the support department of the manufacturer of your system or test your system with a memory test utility for further investigation.Chcdsk - didn't seems to have anything to report. just completed is 5 tasks... and rebooted to windows, all seemed ok....No errors
Hope this means that all I need to do is upgrade my memory.... :)

Hey Cat !!
Please read all of my post before doing any work.
Well , I'm glad all is well with the HDD since chkdsk didn't report any thing . It seems almost certain that you would need at least one (1) Gig of ram to operate at optimum level. There has to be more processes running than what the 448MB of ram installed can handle. Could you verify the Task manager and see how many processes are running when you are using the usual programs. Also , check the amount of memory these processes are using at the same time.
To get the Task Manager :
On your Task Bar : Right Click . you will see a menu come up . From there , click on the Task Manager . It should be the third last entry. Once up, click on the Processes tab at the top of the Task Manager (second one from the left)Now, on the Bottom left hand corner , you will see a check box saying "Show All Processes". Put a check mark in that box. This will tell us how many processes are currently running. There should not be more than 45 to 50. On my XP SP2 , I have it down to 39 but, I tweaked it a bit. (I'll give you the address of a site where you can Disable some of them "Safely").
On the bottom Right Hand corner , you will see how much memory is used (%).
Report those numbers in your next post. Can you get your hands on a can of Compressed Air ? If so and with Short Bursts ,
spray from the air intake (under the notebook) and towards the Exhaust in Short Bursts. I have to emphasize short bursts because any more and you could easily damage the inside so, short bursts and take the vacuum to whatever comes out.Ok Cat, before you upgrade the memory, try out the compressed air and reduce the numbers of processes with the help of Black Viper. This might be all that's needed. If not, then proceed to upgrade the memory to at least one (1) Gig.
Black Viper :
http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm.Note : This will require all of your attention so, be patient and make sure to double check AND write down which services and processes you either Disable or change.
PS > Sorry I didn't reply sooner but, am on vacation and will not be back for another two weeks. Just came down from the lake to take care of a few things. I will try and monitor your response from the cottage.

Re: Please read all post
Athlonite,
So sorry I bothered you while you were trying to have a well earned break... sounds lovely and I hope you had a lovely time....
I actually upgraded my RAM to 1Gb prior to reading your reply to my problem and no change...I have since then read your post and went to Black Viper and tried all the processes to disable 12 services... i was careful and wrote everything down as you said...
I currently have got 37 processes running
and the memory reads - 385m / 2167m..... when I have my standard programs opened I have 41 processes running and memory reads 540m / 2167m....The only thing I haven't tried as to date is the Compressed Air...
And it seems that SuperAnt is still not happy running on my system I tried to re-install it and the following message came up when the program suggested to update " Windows delayed Write failed" and to save it somewhere else?? then crashed again..... I must admit I am a little confused as to why it decided to start crashing my computer, no other program brings up this Blue Screen....
Many thanks for you help it is appreciated

Careful
Be careful with Revo . . . it's a powerful tool, and will mess with your registry in the advanced mode.
Unless you're absolutely sure that a registry item can be deleted . . . Revo highlights what it proposes . . . don't do it.
Also, Revo will propose deletion of some folders at the end. Generally these are OK, like shortcuts on the desktop and menu. and C:\Program . . . folders, but now and then something gets in there in error, so go through them in detail before you have Revo delete them.
One time one of my FF profile folders got in there in error and I ended up having Revo delete my FF profile . . . screwed things up royally.
Revo is a good tool, but you have to take a close look at what it is proposing.
Athlonite has used it too, and he pretty much knows how to give tips on it. Not volunteering his services, but you might ask him for some tips.
Am a Linux user myself now, so I'm a bit rusty on Windows stuff.

Re Careful
BobJam,
Thanks for the advice, I did use it to remove SAS and nothing else...Everything seems to be operating just fine, so I am guessing I didn't do any damage... I must admit I am pretty wary of programs that dig deep into my PC to delete things...
How you finding Linux?

Hey Cat !!
Well, BobJam gave you some good advice regarding Revo. As he also mentions , You do have to be careful with this very good program. IF you can recognize the entries (reg keys) it want's to delete well , you can safely use the "Advance Mode" but, I would rather you stick with the "Safe Mode" to start off then , before you click on the "Finish Button" click on the "Back Button". This will bring you back to the Four Modes of uninstalling. Now, you can choose the "Moderate Mode" radio button and do the procedure over again. Yes, this will create another Restore Point which can be cleaned out latter on but, it will also safely clean out the remaining Program Files left in that folder along with Some of the Most important reg keys . IF there are left over reg keys that are not deleted , they are no longer in use so , they in fact become innate . REMEMBER , if you see Any reg keys that are to be deleted, make Sure that they are the Big Bold Blue ones where you will put a check mark next too.
Not the small blue ones. Usually , it's the last Big Blue ones that are safe delete. Now, it seems that SUPERAntispyware's Program folder got corrupted some how. It happens to the best of us and it could have happened while booting up or other reasons. Make sure that the "Programs Folder" for SUPERAntiSpyware is not in the Program Files section of your C:// drive.
Click on > Start > My Computer > Now, double click on the C:// drive letter . Go to >Program Files. In that folder verify that the File for SUPERAntiSpyware is not visible. IF it is then DELETE that file. Now Reboot your notebook.
IF you still want to install SUPERAntiSpyware , get a new installer from their site (latest version). and re-install. This time we will install in a different file folder.
When you get to the part where they ask where you would like to install the program , they will already have a place with a path :C://Program Files/SUPERAntiSpyware/
We will alter that path just a bit so that we will now have a New folder to install SUPERAntiSpyware in. :
C://Program Files/SUPERAntiSpyware-1/ (notice the dash and One)
This will in fact create a new folder for our program to install in. This Should take care of the corrupted folder. Try it and post back with the results.
NOW, how is the notebook behaving ?? Are we still getting BSoD. Did you get that can of Compressed Air to clean out the dust that has accumulated in the last four years? This could effectively prolong the life of your notebook reducing the heat that builds up while operating it .
How about maintenance ? How often do you clean out the temps files and Defrag the hard Disk. All of these little bit of attention will also contribute to longer life of your notebook.
First off, Download these two little tools to help in the maintenance of the notebook :
ATF Cleaner :
http://www.atribune.org/index.php?option=com_conte...There are no install required. Simply double click on the .exe and once the program is up, check mark the "Select All" entry and then, click the "Empty Selected"
We can also use the Windows File cleaner. At the same time , we will also clean out the excess restore points. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. This will bring up the disk cleaner for Windows and will start automatically .Once it has analyzed the files to be judged excessive , it will display where the files are and which ones have to be deleted. Boxes with Check Marks will already be marked .
NOW, before you click on the "OK" button , click on the top tab where it says "More Options" . The tab will open and at the bottom you will see a second Cleanup option. This will delete all old restore points Except the latest one. I would recommend that you clean those up also. Just follow the prompts and all will be cleaned up in a few minutes.
The next step would be to Defrag the Hard Disk . For this I use "MyDefrag" (formerly known as JKDefrag) . You can Read and Download from here :
http://www.mydefrag.com/index.html .
The way I use it is , I first start off with the Fast Update then , use the Fast Optimise. There is now no need for to use the Defragment as all spaces have been filled in.
OK, Cat , if there are some parts of this that you don't understand , post back and I will get to you as soon as I can.

Careful 2
A few other things you may want to watch . . .
Athlonite: "Use a can of Compressed Air and in Small Bursts , clean out the fans"
There's a reason Athlonite said "Small Bursts". BEARINGS!He explained it, but I'll expand.
If you give the fan a prolonged shot of compressed air, you risk spinning it so fast that the bearings may suffer a failure.
Some recommend placing something like a plastic Bic pen refill between the blades to keep them from spinning while shooting in the compressed air.
But some laptops have a screen over the vent, and this method is not possible.
At the very least, make sure you use quick bursts, as Athlonite recommended.
Secondly, BEFORE you buy more memory, CHECK your user manual and see what the max memory the MoBo and the BIOS will handle. If the laptop is four years old, it may only handle another 512K stick . . . which is fine . . . that's what Athlonite recommended anyway.
However, memory sticks are notoriously cranky. The most common cause of memory failure is if two sticks are not PERFECTLY matched. You already have one 512K stick. While the manual may detail the spec, and Crucial and Kingston may "guarantee" that their sticks will work, that's ONLY if they are perfectly matched. (Kingston and Crucial will replace the stick if it doesn't work, but they REPLACE it with the same type . . . which really doesn't help much if the first one was a mismatch anyway)
So the best way around this is to buy TWO of the same 512K sticks from the same manufacturer instead of just one 512K stick . . . and hoping you matched the one that's already in there.
Shop around on the net, and not just at Kingston and Crucial. I upgraded the memory in a laptop I had (and it was 4 years old at the time also), and Kingston and Crucial were going to charge me a little over $100 bucks for two, but I ended up finding the EXACT same two memory sticks for $40 bucks. Put both 512K sticks in (took out my original 512K stick), and it worked fine.
Athlonite: "All of these little bit of attention will also contribute to longer life of your notebook"
One of the most frequent causes of laptop failure is heat . . . that's because air circulation in a laptop case is not near as great as it is in a Desktop. (I moderated a forum where people were constantly complaining that the fan was on all the time. Nine times out of ten, it turned out that they had Celeron processors . . . which run much hotter than Pentiums. Granted, a laptop equipped with a Celeron is cheaper than one equipped with a Pentium, but . . . and as a moderator I had to be mature and responsible and hold my tongue . . . I was tempted to reply "You get what you pay for, moron".)Seriously, computers don't like three things: dust, heat, and vibration (It's always amazed me that "EPROM's", the computers under the hood of a car that regulate fuel injection, do as well as they do. I mean, really, what do you have under the hood of a car?!)
Now hopefully, you'll be able to clean out that dust, which of course will help make your cooling more efficient.
But there's another thing you can do to extend the life of your laptop (The average "TTF" . . . "TTF" = "Time to Failure" . . . of a laptop is three years. That's largely because of the heat issue, and the fact that people are inclined to go for the cheap price of a Celeron equipped laptop. And today's dual core processors . . . which is essentially two processors running in parallel . . . run hot also).
To make your laptop last longer, use a chill mat. Basically, it's just another fan (or sometimes they have two or three) housed in a thin platform you can put UNDERNEATH your laptop, where the heat is the most intense. They get power from your USB port.
I've always used chill mats on my laptops, and most of my laptops have lasted well over five years.
The average cost of a chill mat is $15 to $20 bucks, U.S. You can find a good selection, and reviews, at TigerDirect. A very small investment that may prevent your laptop from becoming an expensive boat anchor prematurely.
I've always used the Targus brand, but Belkin and a lot of other mainstream manufacturers make them.
Whether your BSOD problems are related to heat or not, I'd definitely clean the dust out of the thing and get a chill mat.
