    adobe reader

If you are trying Adobe Reader upgrades and not the full Adobe software suite, I would try simply removing Adobe (reader, Air, etc.), reboot, and then go to Adobe, get the reader and install it.

        in the Acer tour guide

That obviously is a False positive; most likely due to a Win32 Executable MS Visual C++ file or a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) report it to Norman

    Reply...

I'm not sure if it's absolutely relevant, but I've stumbled across a website with all the Adobe credentials, only to find it was a trojan. That couldn't be what's happening here, could it?

The free tool Process Explorer .

Hi, amishrabbit,Thanks for posting that bit of info ill have a look out of curiosity, Everything seems to be running fine and ive scanned the PC to death with very good programs. I downloaded the Adobe reader from FileHippo who i trust so i dont suspect the program to be bad..........

      Thanks for your time everyone.......cheers.......p...........
