    Emails from friends

I always wonder what's going on but how are people from my contacts (or have me on my contacts) sending me scam links to fraudulent websites? Recently, even my sister sent me one of those, I wanna know if it is from bots, viruses or account hackers.

    Retired.

    Compromised

Sounds like either you or one of your contacts email account has been compromised. You should change your email password from a known clean computer and report it to whatever service it happened on so they don't think it's you who might be sending out thousands of other emails. If it's a bot then that's a real possibility.

This happened to my Yahoo email a few weeks back. Luckily I don't trust Yahoo anyway and just use it for untrustworthy websites. I reported it but only got a canned reply from them. Figures...

      Have it

I have it on my computer, but not on my sister's. Maybe I should put it on her's.

Just MyWOT and SpywareBlaster, I guess... Found a malicious or fraudulent website? Rate it at WOT ASAP! Found a game hacker? Report it to the game's anti-cheat team! Infected with a virus? Delete it with an antivirus =P

Just as it was mentioned in the first reply, it looks like your account has been compromised. There are so many scam sites in the internet which force the normal users into sharing their personal information and passwords.

Ask your friends and sister to change their account password and security question. :)
