    Will this work?

    I copied the picture, friend of wot, made a link to http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/181stfrg.com and added it to my web site. My intent is to allow visitors to my site to rate it. Will this work? My email address is jpcummins@verizon.net. Thanks in advance.

    John

      Also encouraging them to install WOT will in turn help them protect themselves on the internet. As well as build the WOT user base which helps WOT grow. See here WOT Support/FAQ

    Not a good idea

    @jpcummins,

    This isn't relative to your question, but a comment on something else in your post.

    I noticed that you left your email address in your post.

    THAT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO DO THAT WITHOUT DISGUISING IT (tehcnobabble for that is "munging" - "Mash Until No Good").

    Let me be more specific. For example, my email address is "rbjamie AT gmail DOT com". NOTICE that I disguised it by typing out "AT" and "DOT", instead of using the "@" symbol and the "." symbol in the domain name (gmail.com).

    That's because spammers have what they call "harvesters". "Harvesters" are programs that scan the Internet for email addresses left on posts like YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS and they specifically look for the "@" symbol followed by domain names.

    Consequently, your email address was likely added to a spammers list. If it's currently "uncontaminated", then you will likely be getting some spam soon. If it's already contaminated and you get spam in it, then you will likely get MORE spam.

    In the future, if you choose to leave your email address on the Internet, disguise it thus:

    jpcummins AT verizon DOT net.

    And one more thing . . . on this board they discourage giving answers via email because answering in a post gives the entire community the benefit of reading the answer. (Though as g7w pointed out, this has already been discussed in another post).

    Please don't take my tone as abrasive - just a friendly tip . . .
