limiting expression of opinion
would be unfair to those who have not but wish to express their own opinion, which is what a comment actually is - it doesn't effect the overall reputation of a site.
As long as WOT is willing to consume the required storage capacity (database size), I see no problem with infinite comments.

Time is also a factor
Remember that time passes, and comments grow old. Just like ratings gradually loose their weight (unless you revisit the site), comments also become less relevant...

Lock Feature
I think we need a lock feature on website comments. Do we really need that many comments on websites like mywot, google, mozilla, facebook, etc. I think once a website has hit 5-7 pages of user comments I think it should be locked. Ratings will be still opened but comments will be locked. I dont think we need 500+ comments on 1 website.
