   Rouges

   first I've heard of this site: fastbrowsersearch.com

   it displays an "Uninstall" link - but I had nothing installed...
   So checking out mywebtattoo.com they offer a toolbar, filename: mywebtatoo.exe
   VirScan.org = clean ThreatExpert = clean summary | detailed

   make-the-web-better.com is the parent company I presume and has a red rating for a recent hpHosts entry as Spyware as is searchguardplus.com also part of the "mix" of affiliated sites.

   Proof that fast browser search is part of make-the-web-better.com is by viewing the help page for removal of the toolbar where they offer an email address as support: help.fastbrowsersearch.com

   When installing the mywebtattoo.exe you are presented with this EULA requiring confirmation to install

   Search Guard Plus will prevent programs from suggesting changes to your default search
   provider and keep Fast Browser Search as my default tab setting. Search Guard Plus will
   present relevant search results in response to misspelled or incorrectly formatted
   browser address requests. You do not need Search Guard Plus to use My Web Tattoo.

   While they claim this is not adware or spyware, the fact that they will not allow you to change your default search provider is, IMO, hijacking your browser - not a good business practice since they make money on every fast browser search result link (they're all affiliated links).

   This requires some discussion and hopefully proof of spyware that contradicts their own TOS.
