Why am I not able to send invitations to my friends to join WOT

    Hi all,
I want my best friends to join WOT and get the benefit of it. But I am not able to get any option to send invitation and even if i try doing it from some alternative ways, it says "ACCESS DENIED, you are not authorized user .." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please help me to get rid off it.

    removed

It appears that the service is no longer available:
    http://www.mywot.com/user/invite

Also, the Scorecard, Share with a friend has been removed as well.

    Possibly from abuse.
The best way to "tell a friend" is to simply tell your friend(s) via email, chat, etc.

Yes, Sami or Timo said somewhere that it has been disabled for now, but it might (!) come back some time later.

Something should be done to replace it

I just ran across a good site today (like many of the fringe developer / experimenter / pioneer / researcher type websites that do not have enough traffic to be really considered popular. Their owners and/or webmasters may not be familiar with MyWOT. They need to be invited in to get their sites right with WOT.

Conclusion: We need a replacement (secure somehow) to invite people to use MyWOT who should!

Re: Something should be done to replace it

One reason we took down the invitations was that they weren't really effective. I guess people receive so many invitations to various services these days that most won't even bother reading them. If you really want to invite someone, you'll have a lot better chance of reaching them by sending a personal email than using the website's own invitation system.

    Rolling up again...

It just cam into my mind.
To have a personal invitation of friends, there could be a reference link which people can add.
I mean i write my e-mail to a friend and telling him that WOT is great and how it could affect his security. To make it easy finding out who invited a new person and to show the efforts making Wot public this feature should have a rebirth?

    what do you think?

      Same here

I wrote an e-mail through my personal account and sent to everyone I knew. When I receive an automated e-mail invite through a company, 9 out 10 times I delete it before opening. Some of these automated services are just thinly disguised spam.

I think you got me wrong

What i was trying to say is that i dont write an email via WOT. I write a personal Mail from my private account. (gmail, freenet, you name it).

Sorry for my bad english sometimes.
