re: banned
Users who are banned are generally new.
They have little weight for their ratings; remember WOT is a Meritocracy = it takes time for you to be trusted within the system, so their ratings have no effect...Comments within these Forums remain, otherwise as FlyAqua stated, it would leave "holes" in discussions.
As for comments left on Member Boards, they are generally deleted as Spam.

Reminds me, trolling on
Reminds me, trolling on PHung's board has now been cleaned up, and posts there have been disabled.
Do the comments/ratings get removed when a user is banned?
As far as I can remember, they are turned to the unlinked user "Anonymous" when a user is deleted. If the user is banned without deletion, it may stay under their name, otherwise if a full deletion is in effect, they turn to "Anonymous".
It doesn't matter anyway, people will "disagree" with the comments a lot anyway.

Do the comments/ratings get removed when a user is banned?
This question came to my mind when I saw RegTidy 2009 thread being pushed up on the forums again.
When a particular user is banned, e.g. ErorGen886, his comments and ratings are still there. He rated John Nigel Lew's website, jnlew.com as
owned by a ranting arse! stay away
Which is untrue, contrary to LiVeRpUdLiAn932's comment of
Please ignore erorgen. Site is decent.
If someone is banned, should his/her site ratings and comments be taken off as well, to dispel confusion among all of us?
