credit card
Credit card transactions are handled via your local bank (in the US)
If you report to your bank's credit card processing center that a "Non-approved transaction" has occured and demand a "reverse of charges" - it will happen.
There is a time limit though, 30 days *I think* consult your bank for more accurate information. If you have a credit card through another source, not your local bank... it depends upon their Terms of Use Policy; if the card is drawn on either VISA or M/C and your local bank will/can not help you, contact them directly. If you used a 3rd party payment system... PayPal, Google Checkout, Western Union, online check, etc... Good luck, normally these transactions hold because there is no protection on purchases made - they're simply "you choose, you agree, you pay... you bought."

Is there any way...
...to get your money back from the makers of a rogue antivirus?
I know someone on another site who was scammed thanks to Internet Antivirus Pro.
I highly doubt it, but is it even remotely possible?
Thanks.
