Thanks for the replies.
Thank you for the replies so far, glad to know that the our web site is getting good reviews.
Update:
We have been doing major redesign over the last couple of weeks, so if the site was offline at anytime we apologise but we felt it needed a re-vamp and new look.
Plus we have increased our Site testing and background checks to make it much stricter to get a listing in our directories.Once again thanks for the reviews and keep them coming.

re: re-vamp and new look
Joomla is a nice CMS and RocketTheme's Affinity is a nice choice - I like RT's themes, even their free ones are very nice.
Malware Glossary, missing:
Astroturfing
Malware
Scareware
(there's more, but I thought it was interesting that Malware is in the title but not actually defined)Since the glossary is specifically related to security terms... maybe it could be labeled as,
Safe Sites 2 Click On Security Lexicon
;-)Nice site, I'll have to BM this one for further exploration, but from my quick view I also offer an Excellent rating
FYI:
safe-sites-2-click-on.com resides on IP: 74.54.200.114 (PTR: gator548.hostgator.com) along with a good number of other domains, some of them... not so good. Doing a quick mxToolBox check, your site, actually the IP, is blacklisted with BackScatter. I doubt this can get cleared up as it's a shared IP and some who host there can cause problems for the other innocent domains. You might want to consider obtaining a dedicated IP.[edit]
I decided to register, it's easier to remember to check back.
Also...
Browsing the Genuine Security Software page, you might want to mention about products like Sandboxie and GesWall; both very good for what they do, but should be used by more experienced users and not together.

Thank you g7w
Thank you for the very helpful information about our Website Ip Address g7w, we were actually under the impression that we already had a dedicated IP address included in our hosting plan - we did, but it needed to activated 1st, which has now been done - thank you so much for making us aware of that.
Thank you for also pointing out items missing from our Malware Glossary - we are planning to update it over the next couple of weeks to include more items, we are currently working on a list that allows the user to select whether to see basic terms (ideal for novice users) and a more advanced term list (for the more experienced computer user).
We wanted to include Sandboxie in our Genuine Security Software list and also in our Safe Sites directories but at the moment their website is listed as Red (Un-Safe) by McAfee Site Advisor,
Due to Site Advisor finding links to the softonic website, which they found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs - due to this we are unable to list them at this present time as it violates our Safety Standards even though there software is completely safe to use in the right hands (we have used it for the past 9 months on our test computers).GesWall should appear on our Genuine Security Software list soon - we will be testing it in the next few weeks.
Thanks once again g7w for all the detailed information about IP address & information that needs to be added to our website and also for registering with us.
Feel free to contact us here or via our Private Messaging system on our website if you spot anything else that needs updating or adding and also if you have any suggestions of things that you would like to see on our website.
Thanks
Tom

softonic website
softonic is a download site - Wikipedia entry - so you base Sandboxie's reputation in the security industry from some SA rates finding it on softonic's website?
A website that offers free downloads of a good product are going to be available in many places, which is why I tend to get software from the source and never a third party.
As for Sandboxie links...
I presume you use Firefox, so here's a tip:
install and use Chris Pederick's Web Developer add-on:
http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/Then, you'll notice and "Information" menu tab in the toolbar, click it and scroll down to "View Link Informatin" and see what sites sandboxie.com actually links to.
Here's what I get, internal references and links removed - just the basic domains:
www.cleansofts.org
www.download.softwareload.de
www.freepcsecurity.co.uk
www.malwaretestlab.com
http://www.brothersoft.com
www.completelyfreesoftware.com
www.filecluster.com
www.grc.com
www.majorgeeks.com
www.snapfiles.com
www.softarea51.com
www.softpedia.com
www.techsupportalert.com
www.xbeta.infoThe majority are good sites, I would exclude brothersoft.com - both WOT and SA have warnings about it, but that does not hinder Sandboxie's reputation as a good software which protect users, and does not stop me from being a user myself.

Re: softonic website
Sorry for the long delay in replying to you g7w.
I agree completely with you g7w sandboxie is a great product, I hope you didn't get the wrong idea with my last reply, we do want it listed on Safe Sites 2 Click, we think it's a superb program and feel the site is completely safe to view and download from but the site advisor caused us an issue.
Since Safe Sites 2 Click On is aimed at the more novice Internet & computer we felt that the they would just read our review then click on our included links to the Site reports on SA, Norton Safe Web and here, see that it's rated Safe by the community here and Safe at the Norton Safe Web community too but then see SA's big red cross and trust it over WOT's and Norton Safe Web's ratings then feel that Safe Sites 2 Click On was misleading them and dis-trust our website & service.
Unlike McAfee that already have a trusted name for themselves, we still have to gain that trust for our name and service. One thing you have raised with me and the other website testers here at Safe Sites 2 Click On - Is should Safe Sites 2 Click On be able to over rule a rating if we feel or know it is wrong (like in sandboxie's case) as long as we make it very clear in our review that we are over ruling a report and as long as it's only one report that we feel or know is wrong.
What do you think g7w should we be able to do that over rule a single bad report if we feel or know it is completely wrong?
Thanks

yes
You're speaking about McAfee's SA status of websites; which, in my personal opinion is not very reliable.
Back to sandboxie, SA has them red for linking to softonic.com, SA, "When we tested this site we found links to softonic.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs."
If you check the links sandboxie.com points to (as I listed previously), softonic.com is not one of them. But let's say we never checked the links, instead we'll use SA and view the "evil" softonic rating. Hey! It's green; SA, "We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems."
This represents SA's inadequacy to properly identify between sites; also you didn't check the reviews at SA for Sandboxie which contradicts SA's (automated system) review. Now if example.com were yellow - red in SA, orange - red in WOT and also mentioned on Norton's Safe Web as being suspicious, then I would not list the site in Safe Sites 2 Click On.
The editor always has the final say on content that is to be published; don't take 1 report, when you claim to review many, as this example displays: 1 is wrong.

Actually there is a link to
Actually there is a link to Softonic.
On Sandboxies homepage we found the following link -sandboxie.en.softonic.com/ - it's next to the brothersoft editors pick
Picture of where is also included:

Our testing system doesn't just include basing our review on one report - we do use a number of reports because this gives us a fuller picture and in the case of SA report they were actually right when they issued it as we could easily find the programs that SA tested on the Softonic website.
When we last reviewed the SA report for softonic they were reporting In our tests, we found downloads on this site that some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs. and the user reviews also suggested this - Even WOT has a quite a few bad user reviews for Softonic claiming 17 for Malicious Content, Viruses and 4 for Spyware or Adware -
http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/softonic.com
When we decided not to include Sandboxie at the last review - yes it was due to them displaying a link to softonic - which from the picture above is clearly visable to any user and, that at the time of the last review Softonic still had an Un-Safe rating with SA and based on the user reviews left at SA and WOT.
The latest report from SA no longer shows any results for emails, download or links - which means they have started testing the Softonic website again. So the decision not to list Sandboxie at our last review was actually made on the following:
SA reported a link to Softonic - Which we confirmed and which will still confirm.
Can Internet users easily visit the Softonic website from Sandboxie.com - Yes they can.
SA reported that a high number of downloads contained adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs - which when we checked Softonic they had the listed programs available for download.
A high number of SA users were reporting issues with softonic.
A high number of WOT users were reporting issues with softonic. As you can see we don't take just one factor into account we look at it in full and then make our decision.
We stand by our last assessment of Sandboxie.com linking to softonic as this presented Internet users with a risk of malware issues if visiting Softonic via Sandboxie from Safe Sites 2 Click On.
As a number of factors have now changed since we last reviewed Sandboxie for listing we will be reviewing them again.

softonic
Softonic nearly destroyed my computer. I never downloaded softonic. I finally found it in my registry but could not delete it. One day, My browser and home page had been changed to softonic. My computer began crashing constantly. I found 4 new users had been added to my computer and given full privileges. I no longer had administrator privileges: I am the only user, and could not access my own files. My antivirus program was disabled. I had to reinstall it. I tried to do a malware cleaning and could not. As a matter of fact any site that would have helped me was extremely difficult either to access or to use, including this one. I tried to create an account in Delicious so I could dispute your stellar rating, but was prohibited. You downgraded my system from Vista to XP, making it impossible to dowload antimalware software from Windows. You also downgraded me from IE8 to IE6. I still cannot use Firefox at all because it will not allow me to download IE8. You did a thorough job of trashing my computer and hiding from all scans. You still come up as my browser until my chosen browser has time to load. You managed to get so many programs running at startup that at one point there was no room left for me to log in. Thanks for all that. I can't afford another computer. Maybe since you have such a stellar rating, you could please remove your program and all remnants from my computer.
Be kind--give a smile, lend a hand.

So why didn't you just wipe the system drive and clean install an OS? You would have had your computer back up and running properly in a couple of hours, provided that you backed up your important files.
Indeed, your post suggests that you still haven't dealt with the infection, so I would suggest that you get your Master OS disc and do as I suggested above. Wipe the system drive and clean install the OS. Simple and tediously necessary.

I had the same question.

Please comment on our website
Hi guys and girls,
I would like to ask for some reviews, comments and ratings on our website which is located at http://safe-sites-2-click-on.com
Our website provides Information on staying safe online and has it's own forum, download area and online shop (powered by Amazon.co.uk), we also have our own safe website directories which we test before listing.
The tests we carry out are very strict so we can provide Internet users with a safe environment.
Our tests & background checks consist of the following.
Visiting the website with our own test computers running different Operating systems & Security software.
Checking Web Of Trust Ratings for any reported issues.
Checking McAfee Site Advisor for any reported issues.
Checking Norton Safe Web for any reported issues.
We then check for any reported issues of spamming or email harvesting via Project Honeypot, MXTOOLBOX.com & Spamhaus.org
We will only list a website once it has gone through the above tests.
(In some cases we will list websites with very minor issues or Websites that a staff member of Safe Sites 2 Click On has used for a number of years without any problems but in that event we will issue a notice in the website listing to make our users aware).
Please feel free to review, rate and comment on anything to do with our website.
