    Feature Requests

Requests for new features to enhance the product

Comments:

  1. I suspect that a plug-in could be compiled for Spamato such that the trust level of any sites shown as links in an e-mail could add to the filtering of users mail...and/or the domain from which the mail purports to come might also have a trust level that could be leveraged into that system though with much fraudulent mail the domain is spoofed.

    ADBlock?

Maybe also use ADBlock like features to add in another part to the list about how much advertising or spam the site has.

    Information?

Could a separate trust rank be added for reliability as a source of information?

    Thanks

Thank you all for the very good ideas. We will study the possible feasibility to our service and check if we could implement some in our later versions.

We are always willing and grateful to hear ideas, how to improve our software or service. Please do send more ideas, if you would have any.
    Many thanks for your contribution.

B the Nerd: The uppermost reputation bar basically means the reliability of the site as a source of information.

    Resizable button, perhaps?

With small toolbar buttons, the WOT button stretches the toolbar to squeeze itself in. With large buttons, it's too small.

And that, my friends, is quite annoying. (Every other extension (for Firefox) I've ever seen with a toolbar button has the two sizes...)

EDIT: Whoops, there's already a topic about this. Sorry about that... :(

    Database

I think there should be some kind of database of sites you can search through to see whether a site is reliable to visit or not, and what others think about the site.

    re:Feature Requests

You can look up reputations for any website on the My WOT page, or if you are not logged in, you can use the Ask WOT website:

    http://api.mywot.com/ask/

However, having a separate website for sharing more detailed opinions is one of the ideas we'll be sure to look into in future. Thank you for the suggestion.

    re:Feature Requests

Thanks. I definitely think there should be more information about the site, for example, WHY people think the site can be trusted or why it's suspicious.

    Fourm?

This is just an idea but what if as well as having the reputation there are forums about the website? This could mean that if you thought the website installed a virus then not only would you see the reputation but you could quickly check the forums to see what other people think. Also if you had a question, feedback or usefull info for other users you could share it. The only problam would be if you had a forum running about a page which had forums IN IT. (Like this one) That would be sort of confusing. Also at the top of the bit where you enter the reputation of the website it could tell you what sort of website it is. (Like for example: Games, shopping, blog, entertainment, email etc.) So what do you think?

Thanks for the suggestion. We have something like that in the works...
