Re: WOT - & - IE8 Update
1) In Vista Programs and Features
You have the latest version, but the upgrade should have removed the previous entry from the list of installed programs. I suppose you can simply uninstall both entries and then reinstall the latest add-on to get rid of the extra entry.
2) I just cant remember ticking the Agreement on the Desktops install
Are you sure? Still, that shouldn't affect the add-on in any way.

Hi :o)
Hi Sami
Do you think I SHOULD do a clean install?
WOT seems to be working just fine.
But if you think it might cause me problems in the future... I Will Reinstall!2 other things that might have made the difference between the - Laptop & Desktop...
1) IE8 on my Desktop had just had a Google Toolbar update minutes before I updated WOT.
2) I originally installed WOT for IE8 from My side of the Desktop.
But when I updated WOT today... I was using my Sons side. Thanks!

No, it's not really necessary if the add-on is working normally. The extra entry in the list of installed programs is perfectly harmless.

Thank You!
Hi Sami :o)
It's OK!
The worry was driving me daft :o(
So!
I've Just .. Uninstalled - & - Reinstalled .. My IE8 WOT On My Desktop!
WOT strangely remembered who I was when I reinstalled.
And the size of the clean install... 2.45MB
However!
WOT is now showing the same as the Laptop in Vista's Programs and Features.
So! .. I'm Happy! :o)Thanks!

WOT - & - IE8 Update
Hi
Can someone please tell me...
What is the correct way to update WOT for Internet Explorer?
I'm so used to the easy and simple way that Firefox updates add-ons like WOT.
That when I noticed my IE8 needed a WOT update...
Didn't Know What To Do!
So!
I decided to run the WOT update one way on my Laptop.
And another way for my Desktop.
If anything went wrong... I'd know which way was the correct way.
So I Thought!
Re: Laptop
1) I downloaded the WOT update
2) I exited IE8
3) I ran the update
Re: Desktop
1) I just ran the update
Problem!
Although WOT on both my Laptop and Desktop seem to be working OK :o)
Have A Few Worries! :o(
1) In Vista Programs and Features
Laptop Says...
WOT for Internet Explorer .. Services Oy .. 8/2/2010 .. 1.22MB ( Todays Date )
Desktop Says...
WOT for Internet Explorer .. Against Intuition Oy .. 17/7/2009 .. 1.21MB ( Original Date )
Which One Is Correct?
Also...
2) I just cant remember ticking the Agreement on the Desktops install of WOT :o(
Thanks In Advance!
