There is only one winner in

There is only one winner in 'Get Rich' schemes and that is the people who run them. Others are simply victims.

Smells like a typical sales/marketing scam to me and requires loads of personal data/money just to get past the 'you can earn this' and 'you will, with effort, achieve that' once they have bored you to death with why this system succeeds.

Certainly smells a bit iffy, and the thread is definitely promotional. Not what WOT is for.

    Spam

Have seen many of these spammy threads, and the OP never posts again after the initial spam. All it does is take up bandwidth, which now that I think of it I am too . . . so, I'm outa' here!

"OP never posts again after the initial spam"

Probably not. But I wonder about the reliability of OPs 152 Ratings...

        Activity level

Though activity level doesn't necessarily equate to reliability, the OP is at a Rookie level, so I doubt this person has established very much weight in ratings.

Nevertheless, it may be likely that a lot of those 152 ratings are indeed "inaccurate". My suspicion however is that the WOT system has marginalized them.

      Lion's Den

The moron probably doesn't know it, but it always amazes me how these idiot spammers continue to spam . . . the Lion's Den. You would think the word would get around . . . "Don't spam WOT". Just as well, though. If they keep doing it, they will just keep shooting themselves in the foot.

It's all about numbers, the more publicity they get the better chance of success and potential victims. If just 1% of people fall for these scams, there is big money to be made. Such is life when people don't think or use common sense.

re: tell us/me how to find

      It's simple, but time consuming...
The OP listed a URL: hxxp://newrichreport.com/johnnyjoy

where newrichreport.com is what I started with.

I have the robtex engine added to my FF search bar, so I pasted the domain and started with:
      http://www.robtex.com/?q=newrichreport.com

click on the domain name to get the next page:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/newrichreport.com.html

      open the shared tab:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/newrichreport.com.html#s...

      Examine the data displayed.
      What do we see?
We see the domain: newrichreport.com is on IP: 74.55.178.54
We also see: Name servers used by this domain are:
      ns1.trustedserverpro.com
      ns2.trustedserverpro.com

      Who are they? good? bad?
The Domains sharing name servers has entered: trustedserverpro.com
We have little information about that site, so we copy the domain name and open a tab to visit it, there is no website, just a Plesk greeting page:
This is default page for the domain trustedserverpro.com. You see this page because you have set up your Web server for serving a new site, but have not uploaded the site content yet.
That is not very friendly for a "trusted server" also on the robtex page:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/ns1.trustedserverpro.com...
we see that the nameserver: ns1.trustedserverpro.com is shared between trustedserverpro.com and the site we started out with: newrichreport.com since there are no other domains referenced, we can safely assume that the two domains are common to each other.

So now our list grew to two domain, plus the two name servers:
      newrichreport.com
      trustedserverpro.com
      ns1.trustedserverpro.com
      ns2.trustedserverpro.com

Back on the first robtex shared page:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/newrichreport.com.html#s...

we scroll down a little and find the subdomains for: newrichreport.com and include them to our list:
      newrichreport.com
      trustedserverpro.com
      ns1.trustedserverpro.com
      ns2.trustedserverpro.com
      mail.newrichreport.com
      hostmaster.newrichreport.com

On that robtex page we see a block titled: Domains sharing mail servers under another name
Just because domain are listed do not mean they are common to each other - they could be completely separate domains, just sharing the same MX IP - many shared servers group domains that have nothing to do with each other, so how do we find out what they're like? We visit them individually.

The site we started with is: newrichreport.com
A mail server shared domain listed is: newrichinfo.com
Names look pretty similar, so we visit the site and what do we see?
An obnoxious slide-in alert box wanting email information, so we close it and there you are, another "get rich quick" site.

So we add that domain to our list.
      newrichreport.com
      trustedserverpro.com
      ns1.trustedserverpro.com
      ns2.trustedserverpro.com
      mail.newrichreport.com
      hostmaster.newrichreport.com
      newrichinfo.com

We visit the rest of the Domains sharing mail servers , discover they are all identical in their content, so they're all part of the same "group" The robtex page has an area: Other names of the mail servers that lists the subdomains of the domains sharing mail servers and we nclude them to our list:
      newrichreport.com
      trustedserverpro.com
      ns1.trustedserverpro.com
      ns2.trustedserverpro.com
      mail.newrichreport.com
      hostmaster.newrichreport.com
      newrichinfo.com
      monstersitedeveloper.com
      kwdinternetservices.com
      elitemarketingcenter.com
      mail.elitemarketingcenter.com
      mail.kwdinternetservices.com
      mail.monstersitedeveloper.com
      mail.newrichinfo.com

      On the robtex page:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/newrichreport.com.html#s...

we see an area for: Reverse names of the mail servers
and we discover a "new" entry: mail.cashflow123.com

      Who's that?
To start, we right-click on the link and open a new tab to:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/mail.cashflow123.com.htm...

Oh boy! A whole new list of domains to go through...
Notice the section: Host names sharing IP with A records
You need to visit each domain to sort out those that are MLM "get rich quick" from those that are innocent, not related domains (how they landed on this IP: 98.129.12.39 is beyond me) - you can not just copy-n-paste every domain into your "list" You could incorrectly rate good sites as bad.

This is how I "dig domains"

      When I said there's more...
      There are.

      For example.
      On the robtex page:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/mail.cashflow123.com.htm...

we see the "host" site as being
PTRs of IP numbers = platinumsynergy.com

We visit it and see a big button link for "Home Office pro"
Click on that and it takes you to: homeofficepro.net
In the Home Business Network Marketing industry it is important to have Network Marketing Software or MLM Software that is designed to Increase Lead Generation, Simplify Prospecting, Duplicate Success, Motivate your Business Builders and Retain Your Customers. This Synergistic Multi Level Marketing CRM System or MLM Software is an extremely customizable to any Multi Level Marketing Company. Blah, blah, blah ...

      You can start with it:
      http://www.robtex.com/dns/homeofficepro.net.html#s...

Then you'll notice domains name and/or subdomain names you just added to your previous list.
Since you don't want to duplicate them, you can add them to a spreadsheet and sort the names to remove the duplicates, or create a script to do that for you from a txt file or other format.

These MLM, "get rich quick" schemers have tons of sites. They all point to each other and in the end the only ones making any money are those "developers" who scam the "new clients" out of their cash, while the clients point to each others domains and earn no "income." Eventually those domains die away, news ones pop up and the developers change domains names when their "old" ones have gained enough bad reputation that they don't generate any more "leads" You know these people, you've seen them on late night television. They're those guys who try to con you into buying real estate for no money down and make 20,000 on the close, then sell it before you have to start making any mortgage payments yourself...

        robtex bookmarklet

        hi g7w and all!
just wanted to tell you that i have simplified that process a tiny bit now with a bookmarklet.
you drag this bookmarklet to your bookmark bar and after that, when you visit a site and click the bookmarklet, you should instantly go to the corresponding page at robtex.com.
the bookmarklet is located at the ugly main page in the swiss army knife box.
        http://www.robtex.com/
thanks for your excellent tutorial, g7w!

        best regards

    Very detailled.

Thats more complex as i thought. Will take its time to get in there. I really appreciate the time you took to right down this manual. Probably it could be added in wiki?
digging domains for professionals or something :D

    Thank you again.

      the process

The "process" is not always the same...
If you're not careful you could improperly rate good sites | domains | IP's
Sites *must* be visited, how else can you see any relationship to what may have started your "dig?"
(for example, there were a couple furniture sites listed among those damains on the IP host sharing a-records and I did not include them; whether they are "good" or "bad" or genuine or not is not the point, they were not "get rich quick" and didn't fit into that comment category)
