We are
pleased and have warm, fuzzy feelings for the good people at
Gizmo's Freeware for
giving WOT the prestigious
Gizmo's Top Pick award in the "Best Internet Safety Check
Freeware*" category. According to the editor, "This editor's choice
award is only given to the best product in its category so this is
an honor, congratulations."
The Gizmo site is a community-based review site, where average users, and some advanced too, review and recommend all types of freeware - a Wiki for freeware. Founder, Ian "Gizmo" Richards, is senior editor at Windows Secrets newsletter, which recently published an article recommending WOT. We are feeling the love!
We are honored to receive this award and have proudly displayed it on our download pages. Thank you Gizmo!
*edit - The award title was changed from "Best Free Website
Advisory or Blocker Software" by Gizmo's editor.
*second edit -The Top Pick award URL was changed.

looking back...
Looking back, I've checked the 2008 archives for September and October and could not find reference to something I just discovered.
Interview With the Mind Behind NoScript, Giorgio Maone [03 Sept 08]
One of the questions presented to Giorgio was:
"Short of your own add-on, what other security measures or tips to you suggest people take advantage of?"
Giorgio's response:
"... Another nice complement to NoScript is WOT, which provides real-time security and privacy community-driven advices about each site you visit: this can help a lot to judge the accountability of a site you’re landing on for the first time, so you can better decide if it’s safe to allow in NoScript."
Nice to see other FireFox security-related add-on authors recognize and use WOT ;-)
Nice!
Congratulations and well a deserved recognition.
Very good
Congratulations To YOU and the WOT TEAM!
