    How to unblock the blocked site?

    Hello everybody,

    How do I unblock my trusted site? I am a new user to WOT and its operating system and many of my PTP sites blocked by WOT. Kindly share your insights, please?

    Rate them yourself

    If you rate a website safe (=green) then you wont be blocked anymore.

    However, sites are usually rated red for a a good reason;
    I suggest you read the comments, if any are available...

    PS: What is a PTF site?

      Unblock WOT

      Please help. I rated excellent for all 4 categories, but I still can't open the website. Please advice.

        Sounds strange. Are you sure it's WOT that's blocking the site? Try right clicking the WOT button on your toolbar and deselecting "Enabled", and then reload the page. Don't forget to re-enable the add-on when you're done.

    thank you for posting how I can view a website that is blocked

    I typed in http://www.americanpsychologicalassociation.com and got a bad rating. I am not sure why because I know this is a trusted site because I have used it before. I am studying counseling and this is a necessary site for me to utilize. So I rated it green. I hope that this was the right decision. I have not gone into it as yet as I am waiting for someone's reply to my post.

      Oh dear ...

      ... unless you typed the domain you mentioned incorrectly, you're talking tosh ..... americanpsychologicalassociation.com redirects to searchportal.information.com, which is known for very questionable advertising practices.

        hm...

        I tried americanpsychologicalassociation.com but got redirected.
        Not to searchportal.information.com, but to ztomy.com

        (The redirect maybe depends on when or where..?)

        ztomy.com neveretheless claims to be americanpsychologicalassociation.com
        (claiming to be what you're not always sounds somewhat dubious to me...)

        However this site seems to be yet another Utterly Contentless Site, that is,
        it's stuffed with ads, ads, ads, ads, ads... It also contains the phrase "find something interesting", which is quite revealing if you've seen it before...

        In short, this looks like a suspended site, that has returned as an adserving zombie. So I guess MysteryFCM is right; it must have been another site you meant...

        UPDATE: The second time I tried, I did get to searchportal.information.com which indeed has a very poor rating...

    How do I unblock my trusted site?

    Add it to your White List.
    Two methods.
    1] Click the "Add to white list" button on the Warning page.
    2] right-click WOT icon -> Settings ->Advanced
    add the domain name in the text box; multiple entries separated with a comma ( , ) like so:
    example.com, example.org, example.net
    no trailing slash ( / )
    -------

    WOT Community - gives us security through unity.
