    Uninstalling from Firefox 3

I uninstalled the WOT plugin from my Firefox browser and was appalled to note over 100 entries in about:config still remained. I suggest you amend your uninstallation process accordingly.

    You can delete these entries

You can delete these entries from your Firefox config file by right clicking and choosing to "reset". These entries will be deleted when you restart Firefox.

    Re: Uninstalling

How would you propose we delete them?

Firefox doesn't really support uninstall hooks that would allow the add-on to clean up. Then again, if the preferences bother you, you can just delete them yourself.

    How can we reset them?

When I go to the about:config of firefox, I see strange value affected to the weboftrust's options...

    for example:
    Option: weboftrust.search.aolsearch.pre0.re
    Value: ^http(s)?\:\/\/([\w\-]+\.)*aol\.[a-z]{2,}\/[^\\?]*redir\\?.*s_cu=(http.+)(&.*)?

    is this normal?

most of the status are "set by the user"... can I reset them all to default?

Re: How can we reset them?

Yes, those are the add-on's search rules.

can I reset them all to default?

If you have the add-on installed, it will overwrite any changes to the search rules every few hours when it updates them. If you don't have the add-on installed, you can reset the settings if you prefer.

Re: How can we reset them?

Is there a way to reset more than one setting at the time in the about:config page?
There is at least 100 of them there... and I only can select one at the time....

        thanks ;-)
