Unless you're inserting USB sticks from someone else's machine, I don't think you really need that Panda vaccine.
And I think it was g7w a while back that made the comment that you're doing a bit of overkill right now with all these security programs on your machine.
For now, a firewall, an antivirus, and an antispyware (one of each!) and WOT is sufficient. Once the thing is stable and you're pretty sure it will remain so, you can start adding things one at a time.
Right now, be gentle with that thing (very uncharacteristic for a GOM to use the word "gentle").
And probably a good idea not to be putting in any USB sticks from somebody else's machine right now.

security de minimis
Hi Folks,
"a firewall, an antivirus, and an antispyware (one of each!) and WOT is sufficient. "
Probably some more Net defense beyond WOT as well, SpywareBlaster being the simplest and quietest. NoScript being powerful, but obstrusive and problematic in some ways. So SpywareBlaster by Javacool is my recommendation addition to the above, the WOT-forum is good in reminding you about updates also (manual updates in the free version).
Just as an aside (thinking aloud) the only major places I would consider extending that protection would be two places.
One is that multiple, occasional on-demand scans is no problem (e.g. Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware) other than the fact that you should be prepared for occasional false positives and get used to not getting overly concerned over every reference these scans put out. No necessity at all, I agree, but possible for those who want to add some auxiliary studies :) .
The other place is HIPS, protection of your points of activity and sensitivity, such as active programs and/or the registry and system files. That can be accomplished on a rather moderate level by using a firewall that has a reasonable HIPS component, like Online Armor, rather than adding a dedicated HIPS programs. Thus if you do not have a separate HIPS program look for a firewall that has some of the versatility (the experts here might be able to mention one or three others that have this dual usage).

IE
I think paul uses IE, so that leaves out NoScript.
SpywareBlaster, MBAM, SAS . . . any of them would fill the "antispyware" slot, though I would agree that SpywareBlaster affords the most real time protection. I would, nevertheless, caution paul to only use one for now 'till his machine stability and his confidence in it increase.
Granted, the free versions of MBAM and SAS would only be for on-demand scans and would not be TSR's, but just installing more things right now might be a cause for instability . . . with all the registry mods and temp files that go along with installations.
Maybe I'm being overcautious here, but the addition of one more thing may put him on that slippery slope of "Ahhhh . . . what the heck, let's try more."
