    Host file help please.

Hi,all.I think ive done something STUPID.....I have been trying to go to myspace to check my page for any messages, but FF keeps saying can not connect so dose ie8.So i opened Hostsxpert and looked for myspace in the list of blocked host files (which also had imported files from spybot before i uninstalled it.)All i found was something called 127.0.0.1collect.myspace.com i didnt know what that was so i left it.Then i tried to add myspace to the whitelist?and instead of just adding myspace.com i added the whole list to the whitelist,I thought thats not right so i cleared the list and added the default MPV? list then imported updates from HpHosts but the spybot list had gone.
Have i done any damage?I still carnt goto myspace..

    Thanks for your time..............cheers..........p...............

    Reset the Hosts File

    [*]Open up the HostXpert program.
[*]Make sure that the "Make Hosts Writable?" button in the upper right corner is enabled.
    [*]Click Create Back Up
[*]Then click on Restore Microsoft's Host Files
    [*]Close the HostXpert program.

If you use a custom Hosts file you will need to reapply it's protection.

          MySpace

Did you ever wonder why MySpace entries are in the HOSTS file?

Spybot S&D's HOSTS file entries are not given the thorough checking that hpHosts and MVPS HOSTS files are given and contain useless entries and I have given up on Spybot S&D altogether as it has not kept up with the times like Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) or SUPERAntiSpyware so I don't use it anymore.
