Re: Should it work with XP?
Yes, it should work with XP. What happens if you create a clean Firefox profile and install the add-on there? There are more solutions on the problem report page.

Unable to see settings, no google search ratings, etc.
I had this problem on two client's machines - WOT wasn't working properly, no google search ratings, etc. Additionally quite a few other web pages seemed to be missing images and otherwise not loading properly - using IE8 on a Windows XP machine. After much web research and settings fiddling, I fixed it by going to start/control panel/accessibility options and under "display" unchecking "use high contrast". I think based on your description of the problem this should work for you as well. Hope that helps.

Should it work with XP?
I was using WOT on a machine running Win2k-SP4. I just installed it on a newer machine running WinXP-SP3 and it does not work. It says it is enabled, but the pages that ask for setup are nearly blank, with a few headings that do nothing, and when I run Google there is no rating on any site.
I have Adblock Plus, but it says it is not blocking anything on the 'My WOT' page. There are, however, big empty gaps where it would appear there is supposed to be some sort of content. When I initially set it up, or tried to, there was a good deal of overwriting of the text on the page.
I use Firefox with NoScript, but with scripts allowed on the 'My WOT' page.
