    Help

    Hi,
I'm new to WOT, having found it by accident. When I reviewed our site http://www.swagbags.biz , I was shocked to find that it has been given a poor trustworthiness rating. My company prides itself on excellent customer service, which our feedback supports & I cannot understand where this rating has come from.
I would be really grateful is anyone could advise where this rating may have come from & what I can do to change it.
    Many thanks,
    Kerry

    Welcome to wot

I visited your site but loading of the rating failed, odd..

Well, it might come from the registrant Cutthroat Promotions

    cutthroatpromotions.com

    which redirects to http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/resource-marketi...

      Thanks

Thanks for the info - we don't have anything to do with cutthroatpromotions.com, so I don't think that could be it, but I'll look into it.
      Thanks again.

          Thanks - Cutthroat

Thanks - Cutthroat Promotions is the name used when we initially registered the domain name, but it has nothing to do with cutthroatpromotions.com & we don't own this domain name - could this still have something to do with it, do you think? Sorry i'm not that technical!

Nothing technical but it might be a reason for users to rate your site bad

            could you explain this?

              Cutthroat Promotions is

Cutthroat Promotions is simply the name of a business my husband was thinking of starting a few years ago, and he had an account with Namesco in this name through which he registered Swagbags.biz . However he has no website domains of any description with Cutthroat Promotions in the title, if that makes sense.

where this rating may have come from

Since ratings are anonymous it is not possible to know how the poor rating came about except to say that some WOT users probably had bad experiences of the site. There are no comments on the scorecard to give any indication of the cause of the poor ratings.

As for improving the ratings, you really need to convince fellow WOT users that your site deserves a better reputation. It might help if those who you claim are giving your company such good feedback were to become members of WOT and leave ratings for your site, along with comments as to why they think your business is worthy of an improved reputation.

      Thanks

Thanks for info - it doesn't really help that ratings are anonymous, as feedback can't be followed up on. As a company, we've never, ever received a complaint about our service or products, even though we proactively encourage our customers to let us know if they do have problems. I just find it strange that people would rather rate a site as poor here, than complain to the company. Will take your advice & ask satisfied customers to rate us here in future.
      Thanks again.

what I can do to change it

It occurs to me that you might improve your company's reputation by changing to a .co.uk domain, which will require Nominet registration that can be properly checked.

What would that have to do with it?

Probably nothing, but as both companies appear to date from 2006, it maybe that
customers are assuming you are the same company - just a possiblility.

It is possibly a case of

It is possibly a case of mistaken identity with another company. I can find no negative comment anywhere.

There is the question of legal trading identity if not a limited company, which perhaps could be more clear, but I see nothing of concern so rated green.
