User Survey 2008

Web of Trust’s 2008 User Survey was completed October 2008, and we received nearly one thousand replies.

Key findings

• 98.7% of users found the protection that WOT provides useful
• 98.1% found the system easy to use
• 9 out of 10 were very satisfied with the system and would recommend it to their friends

The WOT user community

The biggest single age group is between 18 to 34 years, but the age pyramid around that is surprisingly symmetric: we have quite as many 13-17 year old users as 35-49 years old. One challenge that we still face is to find a way to reach more female users. It was interesting to notice that the usefulness of the protection is equally appreciated by the users under 13 and over 64 years.
