When you customize the toolbar in Firefox and remove the WOT button from the toolbar (assuming you're using the address bar indicator) it pops back up whenever you click on the address bar indicator or restart the browser.
This was fixed in WOT 20061102. If you are not using the latest version of the add-on, please upgrade.
In version >=20061102 of the add-on, you can simply deselect the option Recreate the toolbar button if it gets removed from WOT preferences to stop the toolbar button from reappearing.
I ve´just installed WOT. And the toolbar botton never disappears. I already tried
deselecting the check box "Recreate the toolbar button if it gets removed" on the preferences window,
and after i restart firefox, the button is back!
any solutions?
I think a lot of users are forgetting to click the button after making changes. Maybe if the buttons were up higher (right below the text?) and possibly color coded, more people would notice them. On my laptop they are not visible unless I scroll to the bottom of the page. It's easy to overlook.
The buttons actually do change colors when you change a setting and they become active. But you're right, we might have overestimated the screen resolution on laptops especially, so the buttons aren't immediately visible there.

As Sami said, you can deselect the check box "Recreate the toolbar button if it gets removed" on the preferences window, under the Appearance tab.
Same Problem but in Firefox 2.0.0.14

Did you press "Apply settings"?
"Apply Settings"
