Frame and WOT

When a site open inside another site as frame, WOT only show the parent site's rating.
and this leads to a huge problem, what if the page inside the frame is not safe and has bad/unsafe rating. for example, google image, if you click any image from google search result, it will open inside the google page as a frame and WOT shows rating for google image not for the site opened inside the frame and i know there is a option to remove the frame and after doing the WOT shows the site's rating in the frame.

here is a link
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cm1.dotspotter.com/media/0...

if you go to that page, you will see WOT rating is for google image, but the site dotspotter has a red rating for child safety.

thanks

Re: Frame and WOT

We're aware of the issue, but still, there's only one rating we can show, so frames are currently being ignored. How would you like the add-on to work in this case?

sub-hosts

sub-hosts should be rateabel!

Sami, if you try to "handle"

Sami, if you try to accomodate rating submissions beyond window.location I believe it will just become a PITA, requiring whitelisting exceptions etc

The domain reflected in document.location is the *accountable* domain responsible for serving the content. If they choose to serve a frameset and choose to populate frame(s) with "bad" content... like I said, they should be the party held accountable.

If the user wants to separately rate / warn / punish the domain whose content is present in a particular frame, they can use their browser context menu command "open frame in a new window" (alternately "open frame in a new tab") in order to rate the additional domain.

When a frameset loads, the WOT add-on might display the warning using wording such as "This page, or some element within it, blahblah..."
