Checking domain names, IP, etc can be a burdening task and I'm wondering who uses what.
Here are a few helpful tools I've found:
- WhoIS services

still in beta, but handy for those domain names and IP's it does recognize - whois.domaintools.com

swiss army knife internet tool - clez.net
- samspade.org
Whois lookup - emailstuff.org
provide a range of tools that are useful to senders and recipients of email
- sitedossier.com
- MX records / services
- mxtoolbox.com
MX lookup is done directly against the domain's authoritative name server, so changes to MX Records should show up instantly. You can click Diagnostics, which will connect to the mail server, verify reverse DNS records, perform a simple Open Relay check and measure response time performance. You may also check each MX record (IP Address) against 147 DNS based blacklists. (Commonly called RBLs, DNSBLs) - Spam Reporting Addresses

Interestingly, I used many of these a little earlier as my site firewall blocked an sql attack from China hosted on a Russian server :-)
Needless to say the site is now on my IP deny list!

Just MyWOT and SpywareBlaster, I guess... Found a malicious or fraudulent website? Rate it at WOT ASAP! Found a game hacker? Report it to the game's anti-cheat team! Infected with a virus? Delete it with an antivirus =P
