Technical advice

No button to log out of WOT home page - Firefox browser.

I am unable to log out of WOT because there is no log out button. I do not have this problem in Internet Explorer 7. Does anyone have any ideas? A system re-load does have not have any effect. I have emailed support but as yet have not received a reply.

Log out

The website logs you in automatically when you have the WOT add-on installed. In this case the logout is disabled because the portal would just login automatically right a way.

Re: No button to log out

You can also disable the automatic login from the add-on settings if you prefer, as discussed in an earlier thread.

Unable to disable the auto log on feature.

Every time I try to change the settings they do not take effect and the default settings are applied on re-loading Firefox.
The only time I can get the log off feature to work is if I paste the web address for WOT in Internet Explorer and then log in. Then the log out button is available quite correctly.
If I disable cookies altogether in Firefox I have the option to Log In or Register but I cannot actually log in without enabling cookies again. There is something very wrong with this arrangement. I want to be able to control what I log in and out of.

This is how to disable automatic log on

Timo has informed me that to disable Automatic Logon this is what you have to do .......

You can disable the automatic login from the add-on:
Settings->Advanced
Uncheck "Log in automatically to mywot.com and enable features that require the add-on (recommended)"
Then click Apply settings on the bottom of the settings page.

Then clear cookies which basically log you out. When you next time login to the portal using the password there will be a logout button on the top of the page.

Do my ratings count?

keeping 'em straight ! I have rated a program in all categories, but there seems to be no button for <SUBMIT>, or any other indication that the program has accepted my input. Am I missing something? Or does it automatically 'submit' when I click the X exit button?

Re: Do my ratings count?

Yes, your ratings are automatically submitted when you close the rating window. You can also see all your ratings on my page.

O.K. I see that now...

...but when I look at my 'Ratings' score, it shows 0. When I view 'my ratings' there are a dozen or so listed.

Re: O.K. I see that now...

The activity score is updated daily. You'll see it on the rating window as well.

possible bug

"keeping 'em straight ! I have rated a program in all categories, but there seems to be no button for , or any other indication that the program has accepted my input. Am I missing something? Or does it automatically 'submit' when I click the X exit button?"

I had encountered the same, or very similar, situation but never got around to reporting the apparent bug.

install firefox extension
restart firefox
create accout at myWOT site
change WOT settings to "automatically log me in"
restart browser...

Upon restarting, I had a green donut icon in my toolbar (restarted session showed www.mywot.com homepage from previous session) but as I began surfing around and tried to submit ratings, my clicks on the rating sliders seemed to have no effect AND the submit button was missing (beneath "leave a comment" textarea) when I went to the scorecard page for any site.

The problem disappeared following the very next restart & hasn't returned.

Re: possible bug

There's no submit button, the add-on stores your ratings when you close the rating window.
