I've uninstalled and reinstalled wot three times and registered but still cannot access settings or guide. I click on the link for settings and guide, left click menu and right click menu but nothing happens. No program is blocking it. I still get the search results icons but I can't change anything. Windows Vista IE7.
Re: Can't access settings
ven 31 ott 2008 23:51:00 UTC da SamiAs I said in my reply to your email, please try the instructions in this thread. But now that you mention it, you should be able to access the settings page even without registering, so I gather something else might be wrong.
still can not
sab 01 nov 2008 00:37:53 UTC da airbot (non verificato)I tried the suggestions, refreshed wot and even refreshed IE. Opened new pages, rebooted, even turned off all internet prtoection settings and AV and spyware programs. Still can not access anything on pop up menu. Nothing happens,j ust doesn't respond.
Firefox?

Well, thanks for the
sab 01 nov 2008 02:00:50 UTC da airbot (non verificato)Well, thanks for the suggestion but I don't use firefox, only IE. It says it works with Vista IE7 and that's what I have. I've used the other site check programs with sucess, i.e, SiteAdvisor and was able to get access to everything. I even uninstalled it and turned off all AV, spyware, and IE protection settings and reinstalled it to see if it blocked any part of the program download and tried it with all of that off and still cannot access settings or anything on the pop up menu. Still get the pop up menu but clicking on any of the links (settings, guide, view my page, view scorecard) does nothing.

It does work with Vista and IE 7, the settings page is apparently just not working on your system. I've sent you instructions via email that should help us figure out the problem.
You don't have to set Firefox as your default browser
sab 01 nov 2008 03:14:17 UTC da BobJamI guess I didn't make myself clear.
I'm not suggesting that you use FF all the time, just that you use it this one time as an "experiment" and see if WOT works with it. As I said, if it DOES work with FF, then you will know that it's an IE issue and you can then troubleshoot IE.
If it doesn't work with FF either, then that may indicate it's a WOT issue.
Again, I'm just suggesting you use FF one time as an experiment to help you troubleshoot the issue, and keep IE as your default as it is.
wot still not working

Re: wot still not working
gio 20 nov 2008 21:24:00 UTC da SamiReinstalling the add-on hardly ever helps. Creating a new Firefox profile usually does.
Did you read my post on the other thread? If you're seeing the same problem, the same advice usually applies in your case too.
If creating a new Firefox profile doesn't solve the problem, the next step is to send a problem report.
