The active WOT community is a diverse group. Located around the world, the core group has come together with a common interest and participated with enthusiasm. Since you are the group most likely to use the social networking aspect of WOT, how do you envision its development?
Friends, emailed messages, status and more!
sab 08 nov 2008 20:01:20 UTC da wehaveitallOne major part of the profiles I think is missing is being able to add friends. I have friends and family who I know in real life using WOT. If you could add friends where you could see each other's recent ratings, be able to send all your friends a message at once, and even let them see profile information you don't disclose as public.
For example, if you asked someone to be your friend and they accepted you could get these features. When sending you a message, you could make it so it has an icon, indicating it's a friend. You if they allow it, can see each others ratings, and in your profile instead of just private and public for profile information, have three options: private, friends, and public. And also, if only your friends could see your twitter address or im account that would be great too.
Another option is email messaging. Currently, you can write messages on other's boards. But if you could set it so that new messages are emailed to you automatically that would be very cool.
Finally, an option for status. Similar to twitter, you can put your mood and what you're doing. This one may not be necessary, but its your choice.
Thanks for reading, I hope you can encorporate some of these.
WOT ROCKS!
RSS feeds
sab 08 nov 2008 23:27:24 UTC da BobJamEmail notifications would be nice, but I don't see any indication of a php board at the bottom (and most of them have that capability), so I assume you guys at WOT maintain the boards yourselves.
But I do see an RSS feed capability icon at the bottom of the main forum view, and that's very similar to an email notification. I don't use RSS feeds myself because I have an archaic and primitive dial up, and the RSS readers are better fitted to broadband connections.
A lot of boards, even those with php hosts, are switching from email notification to RSS feeds only. So it looks like you guys at WOT have that covered.
I do not like RSS feeds. I

I would like to see an email interface though.
Enhancing the profile
lun 10 nov 2008 08:37:18 UTC da Esa S.Thank you for good proposals. Wehaveitall is probably right saying that there should be possibility to say who are your friends and then sharing part of your profile only with them. If we would enhance the user profile, is there something especially you would like to be added?
very interesting idea
dom 16 nov 2008 20:19:10 UTC da adrenski92i personally think it would work out great, perhaps even integrating a facebook-ish in-browser chat. So that you can instantly question a friend, or all of your friends on a site, or even suggestions for a site to use.
Digg, Del.icio.us, Slashdot, Reddit, etc
dom 30 nov 2008 19:55:50 UTC da plasmatasticWOT needs buttons for instant bookmarking on websites such as Digg, Slashdot, etc.
A good instant solution is here: http://www.sharethis.com/
The ShareThis button can spread awareness about WOT.
(I posted this in this thread as well: http://www.mywot.com/en/forum/1673-how-to-spread-the-word-about-wot?comm...)
Sorry for posting this in two threads
dom 30 nov 2008 19:56:57 UTC da plasmatasticI felt it was an important idea that had not yet been mentioned.
Re: Digg, Del.icio.us, Slashdot, Reddit, etc
dom 30 nov 2008 20:46:16 UTC da TimoActually we have instant bookmarking on our blog posts, where all the important stuff are told. Currently we support Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Facebook etc.
I'll check out WoT to see if
mar 02 dic 2008 15:58:59 UTC da YoKennyI'll check out WoT to see if I can get it on my Facebook where you can see my photos in glorious colour.
Re: Digg, Del.icio.us, Slashdot, Reddit, etc
lun 01 dic 2008 19:34:59 UTC da TimoYour suggestion was a good one. Our old bookmarking buttons where a bit outdated and we have now changed them. Now all the blog postings have an AddThis! button, http://www.addthis.com.
Thanks for the great suggestion!

Finding out what WOT is about
mar 02 dic 2008 07:37:01 UTC da Deborah S.Hi Juan,
Thank you for registering with WOT. We are happy you're here. Take a look at the
Support pages. This new version hasn't yet been translated to French, but if you don't mind reading English, you will find information for new users there.
Please let me know if you can't find anything. We are trying to make the Support pages easier to use.
Safe surfing,
Deborah
