Yeah but what if the rating is inaccurate?
wto 06 maj 2008 02:42:06 UTC — gerryodeaWhat if the people who rate the website don't bother to try your software or website or a competitor puts a bad rating for your website or mywot brings in inaccurate information? What then? MyWot users go to my website and assume that it's bad and then I lose a user and revenue based on a blatant lie. That user will never go back to my site and that costs me money, all based on false information. That smells like an easy lawsuit to win. My website is completelt free of any bad stuff, it has nothing bad. No spyware, no adware, no malware, no fraud, no tracking cookies, no scams, nothing bad yet it's blocked. My software Advanced Searchbar, http://www.advancedsearchbar.com was reviewed in Newsweek, PC World, PC Magazine, Smart Computing Magazine, Search Engine Watch, NBC News, etc. It's listed on all of the top download sites, download.com, tucows.com, etc. it's even in Wikipedia. Please remove my site before I have to get lawyers involved, I will get them involved if I need to because I spent too much time working on my product to see it blacklisted when it should be because it's one of the better products available.
Re: Yeah but what if the rating is inaccurate?
wto 06 maj 2008 07:06:56 UTC — SamiLet's see. If a rating is inaccurate, typically one sends us as many angry messages as possible and doesn't forget to threaten everyone in sight with a lawsuit. Of course, there are some people who completely underreact and merely report us the incorrect rating.
