Study on drive-by downloads by Google

It was interesting to read a new technical report published by Google that focuses on looking into dangerous websites that use drive-by downloads to spread malware: http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2008/02/all-your-iframe-are-poi...

Drive-by downloads target various browser vulnerabilities to automatically download and execute malicious code upon visiting a website. This means that the user's PC is attacked unknowingly to the visitor and without downloading any files.

In this study Google found over 3 million malicious URLs that initiate drive-by downloads. It was satisfying to notice that adult content holds the first position among the risky sites, repeating the result of the recent WOT study on dangerous websites.
