I've been using Wot for a couple of weeks and it was working fine at first. But now although the doughnut is working fine if I attempt to enter a red site I get no warning and if i adjust the settings to block it doesn't block either.
Any ideas how I can get the warning and/or blocking back?
Re: Not getting Warning
Seg 10 Nov 2008 07:29:18 UTC — SamiIt could be that the confidence for the rating is too low and the add-on won't therefore warn you. If you want to us to take a look at it, send us a link to the site where you expect to see a warning.
Thanks for the quick reply

You're absolutely right it is the low confidence rating of the site I was testing WOT with.
I've now tried it on other sites with a higher confidence rating and I'm getting the warnings as I would expect.
Thanks for your help.
Addition
Seg 17 Nov 2008 22:31:06 UTC — FlyAquaAs Sami said, the warning does not show up if the confidence for the rating is too low, in order to reduce false warnings. There is some info on it in the Nov'08 Newsletter.
I suggest that if you think the site you were working with is dangerous, give it a negative rating. Then, the warning screen will always come up, no matter about the confidence. You can also leave a comment telling why you think the site is dangerous, so other WOT users get to know.
In order to increase the confidence, click the 'Request a comment' button. This will send a request to the community page so other WOT users have a look at the site.
Warnings may not have enough levels..?
Qua 19 Nov 2008 00:20:40 UTC — phantazmI understand the reason why warnings require enough ratings to be confident.
If a site is unrated or almost unrated, then we do not know if it's bad.
However, we don't know if it's good either. Do we..?
If a site is (more or less) unknown, this may often mean that it's also new. And personally I wouldn't trust a site created yesterday. After all, most fraudulent sites have a very short lifetime. Being too new could very well indicate possible danger.
So, perhaps it should be possible to be warned, if a site is yet unknown..?

It is possible, you can turn on warnings for unrated sites (for rating each component separately) from settings.
