Hi everyone,
WOT is in English in my Firefox - though that's not my native language. Neither is my Firefox an English one. Both my native language and my Firefox' locale are German. Is WOT available in German? Or generally in other languages than English? I've googled for an appropriate thread on this website and I've had a closer look at the addons.mozilla.org page for WOT. I didn't find any information about other languages though.
I thought that if an add-on supports my browser's language it will automatically choose this language upon installation. However, since WOT chose to install itself in English I figured that my Firefox' locale isn't (yet) supported by the add-on.
If that's the case, if German and other languages are not yet supported, is this support planned for a future update? Does the WOT team need translations and translators? In that case I'd be curious whether the community could help with translating.
Greetings,
Sven
More languages on the way
Qua 02 Jan 2008 11:34:01 UTC — Esa S.Localization of WOT to nine more languages including Germany is on its way. The multi-languge version is planned to become available in early February. This work will now be done by professional translators. In the future we are exploring ways to let the user community participate in the development effort - thank you for taking up this possibility!
