WOT 3 beta with Website Reputation Scorecard now released
Tue 15 Apr 2008 01:45:42 PM UTC — Esa S.The WOT development team is happy to announce the release of the WOT 3 beta version! This release introduces excellent new features and improvements, focused around the much anticipated Website Reputation Scorecard.
Our aim is to make WOT more useful and relevant by providing a means to reveal underlying data explaining a site’s rating, and allowing community members to leave and share comments. Take a look at these real life scorecards:

I love the beta, can't believe I was one of the "beta team" because the activity chart is very low for me. I just don't like the dark colors, but I can live with it. The beta rocks!

The scorecard does makes this interesting, especially in comparison to McAfee SiteAdvisor.
Love this tool! But, did I install it right?
I am fairly new to the PC world. I am 50 yrs. old and just got my machine 6 months ago. So far, I am hooked on most of the video-based sites. I love the WOT tool because since I am new to this, I need reliable and honest info. My only concern is, did I install this right? I mean the Latest version. I tried a couple of times and don't know if I was successful. I guess I will find out as I play along. If any of the Firefox team can find out if I did or not,please let me know! I LOVE FIREFOX!!!!!

I love how you can review comments with websites. It really shows WHY the site was rated bad/good. The one thing I don't like is how dark it is. The old colors I like better, But thats just my opinion.

Wow the new WOT Beta 3 is simply amazing, and more fun to use due to its commenting system and reading of other users comments on sites :-)

Very Useful
The Web Of Trust is an excellent addition to the browsing experience. It is always good to have advanced knowledge of the safety of websites - to be forewarned is is to be forearmed.
Amazing
I love that its more detailed and quickly tells me of a malicious site. The scorecard is another plus. However the only thing that I dislike are the darker colors, but thats just opinion. Overall it gets the job done which is what I really care about
Colors, Agreed
As others have said, the add-on would do well to go back to the old colors, IMO. I dig the dot marker, though; the bust was way too hard to read accurately.
Now, the comments. I couldn't get the tables on the scorecards to page, but perhaps there's something wrong with my browser, or the code wasn't fully rolled-out yet (I tried this morning CDT). I like the comments, though. Makes WOT an even better competitor to SiteAdvisor (which I no longer like)

Beta 3 is especially nice as well, glad I get to beta test it for you guys! :)
About the colors, I see lots of people like the brighter colors better, me personally, I like both the old and new colors, so I could really care less what you guys go with.
I can say this though, I think the new "darker" colors are actually easier on the eyes, but that might just be me...
Also I like using the little diamonds to rate a site now instead of having to use those "human pegs". :P
Anyways though, love the new WOT, love the scorecards, being able to comment and leave your own feedback!

Love WOT3 Beta
I haven't been a WOT user for very long but I much prefer WOT3 with the ability to leave and read comments. It makes it SO much more useful.
I too prefer the original lighter colors but it's not a big deal either way.
So far, the Beta seems ready for prime time! I've seen some non beta software that wasn't as polished and robust as WOT3!
Kudos to the whole team (and community), I'm glad to have found you! I will be sure to spread the joy with family and friends!

I teach web design in a college and run a web design company.
In these times, it's great to have tools such as this to warn and protect everyone from "some" of the content we could find by accident.

always good idea to wait for beta to become full version before downloading and since I haven't downloaded this yet you may wonder why I am commenting?
well I one of the comments there was a mention of a change in color!! please keep the current color they are good don't play with them they are comfortable for the eyes.
You can tell if an addon is great by looking at the discussions and comments, and when all they are talking about is color that tell you that WOT IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR .
awaiting the full release hopfully with the original colors.

Web of Trust is great, except the colors.. they're too dark. They look kinda dirty. I liked the bright colors way better!
