    Wot not blocking

    I've recently noticed that wot only blocks or warns you of a dangerous site when you get to it through a search engine. If you click an ad or type the address yourself, it doesn't have a notification window that covers the screen saying do not proceed, and it only shows you it's dangerous in the small circle icon at the top. An example is this:

    If you were to copy and paste the address into the address bar, it won't block the site nor will a big notification on the screen show up when you go there.

    We rate the websites, the WOT staff creates, and advertises the add-on, and together, we make it all happen.

    Actually, the add-on warns you no matter how you get to a site if the rating is dangerous and the confidence is sufficient. Your example redirects you to other sites and the add-on warns me about them. If I have blocking enabled, it also blocks access to those sites. However, the rating for giftfreebies.com itself has such a low confidence that it doesn't warrant a warning. After I rated the site myself, I'm being warned before I'm redirected to another site.
