Site about foss antivirus with malware update policy.

ClamWin and its site are one of the longer running free anti-virus solutions. Check out Clam Sentinel for the on-access/real time scanning action. Very good site!

What is with you all saying that the Ask toolbar should be ticked/unticked? It is a way of advertising; if you don't want it, it is easy to go up to the checkbox, untick it, and click Next.
Also, the Ask toolbar may be pointless, but it is NOT spyware. It is a search engine toolbar, just like the Google, Yahoo!, and other search engine toolbars.

I have a mixed review for this site. While they do include the ASK Toolbar in the installation, it's purely optional and you can just disable installing it, or uninstall the toolbar later. The program itself is a good one. I use it even though it still doesn't have realtime protection.

Windows version is meh, has Ask toolbar, but Linux is where it shines.

Clamwin AV now comes with spyware (Ask Toolbar)
The option to download the toolbar is preticked, however it should not be so.
Clamwin AV is thus now spyware and should not be trusted.

Incorporates ASK Toolbar with installation; the option is pre-checked requiring the user to Opt-out, where it should be an Opt-in option.

Known for very in-depth scans. Excellent scanner, but slow. No real-time. Good complement to a multi-layer defense.
