We don't edit or remove users' comments unless they contain inappropriate language or attack other people. Each comment represents the view of the user who posted it and we are not in a position to determine the validity of the comment.

However, we strongly suggest that you:

  1. Reply to the comment as a verified site owner and address any concerns in the comment. The user who posted the comment will be notified in his profile about your reply, and can adjust their rating and comment accordingly.

  2. You can also contact users who left unsatisfactory comments privately through their profiles.

Remember that you can always vote the unsatisfactory comment down. In addition to that, if you feel a scorecard comment is spam or otherwise inappropriate, click the “Flag this comment for review” icon below the comment and explain the reason you believe it should be removed.

You can simply vote up the comment if you agree, or down if you disagree. There are no limits in voting for comments. There are multiple factors impacting the priority and order of the comments such as up/down votes, the time when the comment was posted, the comment’s length and some other internal signals important to determine the relevance of the comment. Hence, it might happen that a comment with the highest number of upvotes is not displayed on the top. But voting up and down is still highly recommended and it will be taken into account when recalculating the order of the comments.

All users can vote a comment up or down depending on whether they agree or disagree with it. If a comment is voted down (it has more negative votes than positive ones) it is not shown in the comment statistics tab.

If a site's reputation rating is determined to be controversial, comment voting is disabled to prevent one side from suppressing opposing views by voting them down. When voting of comments is disabled, the order of comments is determined by users' activity scores.

Please note that voting of comments does not affect the reputation rating.
