The main issue is with verifying "BS.serving-sys.com" this sub-domain is a little problematic due to the large number of servers and the fact the these servers are deployed around the world and server base on geo-DNS lookup (serving from nearest location) and also cached using Akamai global system.

    RE: ds.serving-sys.com

    First, WOT is not hpHosts
hpHosts is a trusted source with WOT

In WOT ratings are private, no one can "see" who rated which domain or "how"
What is visible on a scorecard, other that trusted source reference, are comments.

Comments do not affect reputation, they only convey a user's opinion.
Only registered users can post a comment: forum / blog / scorecard; less than 1% of WOT users are registered.

The majority of comments use WOT category: Spyware or adware - scorecard
this is generally used "Ad/Tracking servers" as well as other sites / software / toolbars / etc.

You've created a Site evaluation for a subdomain...
Let's keep the domain and all subdomain discussions in one place; multiple topics are against forum guidelines.

    RE: ds.serving-sys.com

This rating is damaging to business.
MediaMind site and domains are not engaged in malware /spyware/ phishing etc.
Facebook relay on information supplied by this organization. it should back up claims and rating provided. not point the finger at user rating as this is based on end users, some do not understand the internals of web advertizements and 3rd party alerts and warnings.
We see WOT directly responsible for damaging our business and would like all rating to be reset ASAP.
    Thank you.

Then you need to address the concerns given to you "ASAP."

No longer contributing to the forum since moderators delete posts that provide evidence that they "do not like." WOT forum really does not care about forum spamming.

what exactly are these concerns? i would act on any specific instruction. bottom linr is that this is a legit domain! serving real users and having real issues due to bad rating.

Well, that attitude isn't going to get you a green rating. *<--- Sarcasm alert!*

    malware /spyware/ phishing

Who said we were talking about any of those?

Sucuri scan came back clean but said that there wasn't any content, care to explain that? URLvoid says domain is not valid and virustotal came back clean. Sucuri and URLvoid are the real signifigant ones, can you explain the reason for that?

    Binary mode engaged: 10101010101011111000110!

Sorry for coming off this way but this is rather frustrating mainly, do to being unclear as to exactly what caused this poor rating.
I will check Sucuri and URLvoid as to why they return those answers. This is something i can work with.
Thank you very much, it is highly appreciated.

Curious, why are you directly linking outbound ad / tracking server URL's in Facebook?
Also, hpHosts classification "ATS" is = to WOT comment category "Spyware / adware"
In the linked topic (my previous reply) which originally referenced some of your domains, the suggested rating is Cautionary for trustworthiness / vendor reliability and poor for privacy, nothing suggested for child safety.

Of course, _how_ others rate a site / domain is their business ...

Totally independent of what has been said in this thread by others before :
I've had a few announcements on my board from WOT admin about re-evaluation requests.
I'm having problems with my internet connection at home, hence a short message from my office computer.
Within a few days I will come with an explanation as to why I've rated and commented your site in January.
That's quite a story and I need some time to dig up some info from my files and posts then.
Don't have time to do that at work !

I can teel you this : Back then I've found out that your site is involved in spreading out massive amounts of porn and left tracking cookies over and over again. Which were every time back in my cookie list after cleaning that up, detected by my AV and put in quarantaine.
Maybe things have happened, you're not aware of.

    @ peterbosch,
Thank you for your comment. I would like to get more details if you can dig those up. As stated before, some cookie tracking is acceptable but nothing like you described here. sounds fishy.
Again, thanks for the heads-up, would like the full story.

Tracking cookies are an infringement on privacy and NOT acceptable. Hence a reason to red rate a site !

Here's my story and mainly about my rating and comment on the subdomain bs.serving-sys.com
I hope it clears a lot to you
And I wanna show that I,m not screaming something with no grounds. I'm having 2 companies and 3 sites in the air myself and I damm well realise that if you're dishonest you can damage someones business unneeded !

    So :
About half way 2011 when surfing I bumped on a Dutch portal site which appeared to be a huge link farm.
I did a quick scan and saw that roughly the majority of that site is porn ( besides some unreliable money loaning companies and further some hateful or questionable subdomains )
This gave me a real "WOW , THIS IS HUGE" feeling.
Hundreds, maybe more than a thousand of subdomains that needed to be rated red on Child safety
I want to ask you to please read my explanation to other members of WOT :
http://www.mywot.com/forum/9364-xxx ( my answer to Dark laika on10 December 2011, you need to scroll down in that thread ).

    --------------------------------------------------
When you're done with that part :
During my period of digging in that portal and all its subdomains I've cleaned up my cookie files and history on a regular basis.
That was meant to keep control and overview, next to safety control.
BUT : Every time again after cleaning the cookie list the domain "bs.serving-sys.com" appeared again and when clicking on that, the list shows that the domain sets one ( or maybe more ) tracking cookies.
By those days I was only busy with the analysis of all these porn subdomains and the chance that "bs.serving-sys.com" is NOT connected to all that porn subdomains is nearly nil.

So that explains my comment on the subdomain bs.serving-sys.com
As you can see I can defend my comment.

Maybe you're unaware of all this. So let me give some background info.
This porn producing company has hired a girl to advertise for them, who is well known here in Holland in a negative way.
That girl is a former Dutch sportswoman of the year ( and hence she has a perfect shaped body ).
But between the ears something's wrong, it's a "fallen woman" who was arrested and convictid for blackmail in court.
As far as I know she has to pay a fine to Dutch justice ( and what else ? ) and now she works for those porn producers.
    * I've seen her walking through my screen far too much.

You can guess what type of people these porn guys are.........
Perhaps they have hacked you and opened a gate to internet through your site and / or servers, but I can only guess.
I can only tell you what I've found out, the rest is up to you.

I will give you on your board the name of that Dutch portal. Don't wanna publish that here.

Well I hope this contributes to the questions you have.

And ehhh...... if this happenes to one of your subdomains, I don't trust the mother "serving-sys.com" either.
Hence my other comments on the remaining subs

If there are still things to ask, please do !
    Succes,
    Peter

    @peterbosch

    Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for sharing the full story. I see how it might seems suspicious, but you still haven't establish any link between serving-sys.com and any of the porn site(s) activity.
As mentioned before serving-sys.com is (exactly as it sounds) an ad serving network. this network serves tones of ads. We have over 2 billion impressions ( ad served) every month!
It is possible that the cookie formed by serving-sys.com is related to your home page(yahoo.com / msn etc.), favorite newspaper, sport site, etc.
My point is that we serve to some of the major traffic holders and it is possible (at least until proven otherwise) that cookie was formulated via any of these sites.
The last thing you can say about us is that we are not Child safe. maybe I haven't emphasized this enough- there is not one Child safety or restricted content on any of our sites! we don not use or serve any porn or similar (replica /pharmacy/gambling) sites.

I am sorry that somehow our name got mixed in the activity described here, but this is really not what we are doing or have done in the past.

    Thanks again for you efforts.

This is done primarily to produce an accurate campaign reports to our clients hosting a Facebook page and running ad campaigns there. This is done for user interaction reporting.

There are some contradictionairies in your story.
On one side you admit that it's possible that a major traffic holder sets ( tracking-) cookies.
On the other side you assure that your site is safe and isn't involved in matters that are unethical..........

Anyway, for me 1+1 was 2 ( back in January ) , but I don't want to start up an endless discussion.
So I'll give you the benefit of doubt and I will remove all my ratings and comments on your site and the subs a.s.a.p.
    Edited : DONE !

Succes with the site(s) and with convincing others about your point of view,
