    Idea for WOT

There should be a Reputation search tool available for the Search Bar in Firefox. It would be really handy to only have to click on that bar and type in a URL to get a site's reputation.

    WOTting away...

    Yes!

That would be such a good idea, I thought of that a while ago but didn't know how to explain it. Pretty please WOT staff can we get that? It shouldn't be that hard right? (Famous last words...)

    Re: Idea for WOT

Do you mean something like this? (I'm specifically referring to http://www.wintechpedia.co.cc/plugins/wotreputation.xml .)

    Another feature

Another feature can be like AI-Recommend-Rate. If you have no idea what to give the site rating, click it once, and it will generate a rating recommended, but it would have to be updated VERY frequently and will generate many false negatives and false positives.

Just MyWOT and SpywareBlaster, I guess... Found a malicious or fraudulent website? Rate it at WOT ASAP! Found a game hacker? Report it to the game's anti-cheat team! Infected with a virus? Delete it with an antivirus =P

      Re: Another feature

We're not going to recommend ratings. If a user doesn't know how to rate the site, he shouldn't rate it.

How would you find the plugins?

Just go to the main page for the plugins (currently not added support to add in like how mozilla does yet) at http://www.wintechpedia.co.cc/plugins
Just click the icon beside the search bar and click add function.
For the reputation plugin, click Add "Check Website Reputation..."

Thanks a lot for trying out. Haha :)

      Links not enabled

The links are not enabled. Nor is there a search bar.

          Struggling

Took a look at it, but will have to look at it again . . . can't seem to get my arms around it right now. Is there sound to go with it? Am struggling with how to turn on the sound in Ubuntu. "Volume control" may be the setting I need to look at 'cause I think it's muted right now.

Can you give a dunce (that would be me) some detailed text instructions?

There is no sound for the video provided...

            But no worries..
I am finishing up a detailed walkthrough for people to follow and install the search engine plugin,
Please bear with it in the mean time though.
            Thanks a lot!

You misunderstood the meaning of the search bar..

I refer to the Firefox search bar, not in the website.

      Linux?

      Is this compatible for Linux?

The reason I ask is because on my search engine drop down I only have a bunch of launchpad (Linux) stuff, and then some miscellaneous search engines, like Yahoo and amazon and ebay.

        I think so..

Will consider the compatibility when editing it to be compatible to all.
Thanks a lot. Will look into it before replying you.

    21 search add-ons

    1 instruction page.
The instructions on "how" to add would count for all.

You should, IMO dedicate a paragraph for each search add-on you offer:

    • Add-on name
    • what it's purpose is
    • maybe a screen capture of it "in action."

Many of the names are too long to fit inside the SE container and are suffixed with an ellipsis ( ... )

FYI, the Scorecard quick link helps when domain/IP may have DNS problems, thanks! :-)
