    Fake Tech Support Sites

I was searching something on youtube when I found a video with tech support for removing a site. It then had the number to call 1-855-525-4632. I googled the number and the search results were sites that I believe should be rated red
    resolvedqs(dot)com
    downloads-games(dot)net
    movie-tv(dot)net
    andriod(dot)porovid(dot)com
    keyhomesecurity(dot)com

Thanks Steve for testing out those websites. I'm however a little confused over why keyhomesecurity.com is a legit site and a Fake Tech Support site at the same time. Did the website get hacked not too long ago? Thanks again.

    avg247technicalsupport.com

Someone from the above site had the audacity to spam the Bleeping Computer "General Security" thread. One of the mods there has since taken it down, but it was a classic. I also reported it to AVG. What they choose to do with it is their business.

Addition: appears to be part of a large ring of scam tech sites. Same phone number as: usfixtech.com, listed at HPHosts as "FSA", hxxp://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=usfixtech.com. Same phone number (877-609-3714). Googling the phone number boggles the mind.

2nd spam post on LinkedIn deleted after I commented and reported them. I also reported the profile.

Apparently the fake computer error / fake tech support business at this number needs supplemental income:

More like 5 or 6 YouTube videos. These people have been busy. The LinkedIn spam has been removed. Probably the profile as well. If anyone asks, tell them I did it.

I've noticed YouTube often does not remove scam videos even after flagging. Do you have better luck?

Only on a few. Two, they ignored. If their members get ripped off, it's on them. They were warned. LinkedIn took down the posts and the user accounts within minutes, though.

*Edit* Just checked, one video left. I just reported them again for the last time.

    RE: Fake Tech Support Sites

I had both numbers removed from LinkedIn and most of YouTube. BFeely is correct, it's a crap shoot. Don't know if it's apathy of disorganized administration. LinkedIn acted quickly when given proof, though I have a sneaking suspicion that these scams originate from way out east, if you know what I mean.
