    RE: appleeats.com

Within about two days after a site evaluation is initiated, WOT is supposed to automatically notify all of its registered users who previously rated the site about the new evaluation, whether or not they also posted scorecard comments. Unfortunately the system hasn't been working so promptly in recent months. The site owner may wish to request that users reconsider or withdraw their old ratings by posting individual private messages (PMs) in the boards of each reviewer who submitted a scorecard comment. Unsolicited PMs to random users are considered spam, but contacting users about their comments is OK.

Some users neglect to check their boards for PMs. The site owner may wish to post a reply to each scorecard comment of unresponsive users in order to explain that the new site isn't involved in anything that happened years ago.

None of this will likely produce favorable ratings (since the new site doesn't seem prepared yet) but may help to remove obsolete, unfavorable ratings.

Data that is stored in the cloud may become lost in the fog.

Thanks for the quick reply. We'll be adding the privacy policy and contact pages shortly. Regular content will be added beginning within a week or so.

    RE: appleeats.com

As mentioned, this site is in development. Totally unrelated to whatever it was before, or whoever owned it before. I just wanted to address the failing WOT score before we launch the site.

    I've added the Privacy Policy ( hxxps://appleeats.com/privacy-policy-terms-conditions/ ) and Contact page ( hxxps://appleeats.com/contact-us/ ).

The site's owner/editor is Howard Portnoy, a long-time NYC resident who's part of the food scene. You can read more about him here: hxxps://twitter.com/howardportnoy and hxxps://anypit.com/new-york-restaurant-profile-taj-mahal/ and hxxp://hotair.com/archives/2012/01/11/nyc-restaurant-closed-after-owner-recorded-health-inspection/ and so on.

I really appreciate your reevaluating this domain! :-)

    RE: appleeats.com

The site is now live at hxxps://appleeats.com/ -- you'll notice it now has both a contact page and terms & conditions page. It also has legitimate content, showing that the new owner is legitimate and not the same as the previous scammer.
