RE: In which country does WOT not yet have any users? Guess!

I voted 'The Vatican' based on:

As of 1 March 2011, the Vatican had 572 citizens, but only 220 of them were living in Vatican City.[59] The other 352 citizens were apostolic nuncios and diplomatic staff.[59] The 220 citizens living in Vatican City were among more than 800 people living in the Vatican
    Vatican City - Citizenship Post-February 2011

I hope WOT (at the end of this poll) tells us which one is correct.

La Serenissima Repubblica di San Marino"

Thank you LeoFelix for that link
The Italian peninsula have been blessed by some of the most beautiful places in the world , you must be very proud , I was surprised that San Marino , does not have WOT users ............. yet
I voted for North Korea , as the infamous regime makes it impossible to have food , much less internet , for the average citizen, though I heard about someone from Google visiting that hell on earth country

North Korea? I have no idea. I bet Vatican is a trick one! The pope surely uses it!

All the tourists with cell phones would be using WOT. It would have to be a closed country with no wireless hotspots or airports. North Korea is the only one that doesn't attract tourists.

Yes, WOT has a wiki. Check there first for fast answers to many questions like "Why is my site rated red, and how do I fix that?"

I bet on North Korea. The regime effectively blocks the information there.

You do know that Malaysians are allowed into N Korea without Visa's and the borders have been opened with China to encourage tourism? So, many of these visitors will have devices that can connect to the internet and will be able to use the N Korean public Kwangmyong (network).

Note the option was 'The Vatican' and not 'Vatican City'! I woulld think that tourists using the Internet in the Vatican City would connect to wi-fi hotspots which were located outside of the city walls. Therefore my reasoning is this, appart from the minority of employees working on computers within The Vatican itself, where internet access is controlled, and the few priests (if any) that would use it whilst there, the numbers of potential WOT users would zero.

I watched a documentary on The Vatican some time back which talked about the inner working of there. Added to the above points, it seems the only logical options for me.

    The Vatican?
I thought they would be far more technologically aware in many ways, after all, they are not ignorant people, though maybe willful in some ways.

North Korea has the world's lowest percentage of internet users, currently at 0%. For that very reason it was my choice.

Despite their large(ish) population, I voted North Korea on the basis that very few, if any, are allowed access to the web on there. I'd guess that at least a handful of users would use WOT from the smaller states.

Huh didnt know Vatican City was a country...Looking into it a lot of sites say yay and a lot say nay...but I guess it depends on the criteria in which we measure a country..

Ignorance is no excuse for bad judgment.

Correct. The Vatican is a Country and its Chief of State is the Pope.
The Vatican, namely "Vaticano" in italian, is inside Rome.
We italians are accoustomed to call "Il Vaticano" both "The Vatican" and "The Vatican City " in the same way

The dictating regime in North Korea has completed blocked off internet for normal citizens, only so-called 'social elites' (another word for secret police) have access to uncensored internet.

Even if there is WOT user from North Korea, they would be smart enough to say themselves come from somewhere else round the world unless they want to get into real trouble with the government...

RE: In which country does WOT not yet have any users? Guess!

By the way, is WOT using geoIP data to determine this or the country specified in the profile?

If WOT relies on information from the user profile, somebody may have (deliberately or not) entered incorrect information. In that case, it would seem more likely to me that somebody entered North Korea than a less-known country such as Nauru.

The country statistics are based on MaxMind's GeoIP database, and the data is from the 30 days before the question was asked. Of the presented choices, only one is correct. We will reveal which one after a suitable amount of time has passed.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nauru

    A most intriguing micro-nation

It should be a haven for SCUBA diving, I think that by the time the answer is revealed, there will be an increase in tourism which they need

    Nice poll

I suppose it's been long enough and we can reveal the correct answer. Of the choices in the poll, the only country with no WOT users in the 30 days before the question was asked was Tuvalu (population 9,847).

Surprisingly, the most popular choices, North Korea and the Vatican City, had 10 and 7 active WOT users, respectively.
