RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

Depending in what I am doing while searching for information about a site or sites

    I will change the settings

Now if I am browsing and it has to do very little with WOT, then I use the defaults of the add on

I still encounter sites that in appearance they are safe, but not rated that could be very dangerous, in general PayPal, Amazon and Ebay phishing sites that are well made to look like the real thing

In my case my firewall and Antivirus, are doing a great job, in particular Avast, but those phish sites pop up once in a while

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

In my browsers, I've changed the settings under warnings, searching and advanced.

In Firefox, I've also moved the WOT button.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

In Firefox and Chrome, I have allowed WOT to act when I come across a website that has poor Privacy, Vendor reliability and Child safety ratings, even if the Trustworthiness rating is good. In Firefox I have let WOT block sites with bad ratings.

vote: I have changed settings to fit my way of browsing

    Custom settings:
    Firefox and IE
only display notification bar = I never see a Warning page overlay

    however, Opera displays Warning overlay.

    Reputation threshold
Very poor - I never see a notification bar for poor +
Child safety is not enabled; no rating threshold defined

    Warning behavior
    Warn, no blocking utilized.

    Advanced section
I only have the first selection enabled:
Log in automatically to mywot.com and enable features that require the add-on (recommended)
    all others ore not selected.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

I have just realised that I've been using default settings. That is why sometimes languages unexpectedly swop. Now I am going to fix it so i could use it the way it is better for my perception.

    I use custom settings.
ZoneAlarm firewall and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is doing great job for me.

The movie was awesome!! My favorite part was when it ended.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

I thought about changing settings temporarily. However, I never know when and when not to rate child safety. In any case, I don't rate child safety if I don't know if a site is not safe.

Use child safety and threshold is set at poor across the board. I have a custom ignore list for my local SOHO network.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

Yes, all Defaults except one - I like more information rather than less, but retain my right to do any dumb thing I want with my browser. I use AV and Anti-Mal and TPL and AdBlockPlus, so I don't worry too much - just some, and I appreciate the clarity that WOT can bring to a situation. Thanks to "Scientific Frontline" for the link, I haven't checked recently and felt better after doing so.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

I might consider changing the settings if I think I need to, such as if my rating were to not count if I left one particular portion of the rating blank.

RE: Do you use WOT's settings?

I really like the way of getting informed by a security system. But I want to decide, wether or not I want to visit a site. Therefore I changed the default settings to get minimally bothered by the WoT plugin.
