    I replied , "I'm the same" even though when I was in the Army as an officer I was much nicer with my soldiers ;)

    I am the same =

    Though I find communicating myself, much harder at WOT than in real life

    I like to look straight on the eyes of the person I am talking to and get feedback from their body language, so I imagine that could be a reason and is frustrating, but as for my persona I remain the same at WOT than in real life

    As for the rest of internet, I don't engage in FB or any other social media, I am able to listen to music in Youtube, though I never opened an account with them, so this is my only activity on the net

    I know the dangers of social engineering

    I am lousy at pretending, something that in real life happens, therefore, I am careful in disclosing any personal information in both words

    A very interesting topic

    I am the same both online and offline, and there is no point in my pretending to be anyone other than who I am.

    بعض الأحيان الظروف السياسية و الاجتماعية و البيئية تحتم على الفرد أن يسلك سلوكا يكون غير مقتنع به مثل التخفى والسرية عند ابداء الرأى القويم لحاكم ديكتاتورى ظالم روح الفرد عنده لا تساوى جناح بعوض فما ذنب من تعولهم و تقوم بشأنهم و تجنبهم شرور مثل هذا؟ عليه فالتخفى و الانتحال لتوصل لحقيقة مطلوب فى هذا الزمن الجائر و لكن بالطبع اذا وجدت حاكما او نظاما يقدر الرأى و الرأى الآخر و عقول الناس فس الخير أن تناصحه على المكشوف

    I am who I am.

  6. I try to treat people with respect online, just as I would in person, however there are two differences between my online and real life personae;

    1. Writing my thoughts enables greater coherency and focus, in my case
    2. I do use a moniker because of where I live, what I sometimes have knowledge of and what I do for a living. Sometimes candour is not appreciated and can cause problems.

    RE: Do you feel you are a different person on the web than in th

    I am the same..., although I never use my real name online. Never will. I'm also not a fan of social networking sites. I'm a private person, and I don't believe that sites such as facebook can protect my privacy, as hard as they try. They also indirectly motivate members to offer a sanitized version of themselves since employers for one example, use these sites to size up so to speak potential employees. Besides, who needs to know so much about someone's daily/weekly/monthly events? Just too much information IMHO. ;)

    I am more open in real life. I can think of many instances online communication does not work as easily as in real life. Some people take the politically correct manners and chuck them out the window. I kind of like people who are respectful. I'll share opinions with all kinds of people in real life, but on the web I keep them more private.

    I do not need to pretend to be someone other than me.

    Being myself wherever I am is my life's credo. Although sometimes I may be wrong, I prefer to excuse and fix mistakes, but still strive to be better. This makes me a personality, I think. But if pretending someone else , one can lose his/her identity and personal respect.

    I use this nickname for everything. but it was a mistake because it is part of my email address so I lost anonimity.
