Basically Yelp but for people, you will be able to rate individuals on a scale as well as write a review about them. Once someone has added a profile(All a person needs to make your profile is your phone number) for you it's impossible to remove it. Reviews will also be impossible to delete once they're up on the site. I can't see anything good coming from this horrible idea.

It's middle and high school, all over again. Anyone on the Internet with a fake Facebook profile and a Google Phone number can write anything they want about you, and you have no recourse. The site says you can "contest" your review, but only if you have a Facebook and phone number that you're willing to give them, first.

Disgusting. I can't believe that someone is actually even trying to make this a reality. It might probably even be illegal.

The reason they require sign up via Facebook is so they can get their hands on your FB contacts - and you can also use the contact list on your phone to write a review about anyone which also gives them that much more info. That content written about you, whether it's true or not, will be visible to anyone with a purchased "truth license" no matter what. If you've opted in, opted out, or never even heard of it - your information will be viewable along with whatever is said about you.

When someone writes a review about you or rates you, they give Peeple your information and phone number - without your consent.

There is no way for you to opt out, delete or hide false accusations, untrue information, or true information that violates your privacy, or to get your personal information such as name and telephone number removed from their system. According to the terms and conditions you agree to when you sign up, they have the right to keep all of your content and do whatever they want with it.

People have already made fake Facebook accounts and have been able to sign up for Peeple - most have done it to prove it can be done to create false reviews, but others will do it to stalk, harass, bully or defame. Warn your friends and family about this, because they'll be handing over not only their own but other people's information - including yours - to the creators of this site and app if they sign up for it.

This site intends to market a privacy-destroying app: anyone can put your name on it.You will not be allowed to opt out.
